I watched it once and here's my take:

Guy with dreadlocks has gun flashed at him. He does bad guy one better and pulls out an ak pistol. They dance around a bit and when gun flasher gets to front of car, he shoots several rounds into car windshield, striking passenger in shoulder. Dreadlocks returns fire, clearly with much superior weaponry and flash. Gun flasher runs away. Passenger gets out of car and Dreadlocks sees he ain't getting any that night.
