A liberal Court could end long-term solitary confinement. It could mandate better prison conditions in general, making it more costly to maintain mass incarceration. It could conceivably end the death penalty. It could uphold tough state campaign finance rules and start to move away from Citizens United. It could start to develop a robust right to vote and limit gerrymandering. It could strengthen abortion rights, moving toward viewing abortion rights as a matter of equal protection for women.
If Donald Trump wins in November, this is all moot. But if he loses, as polls increasingly indicate, the dawn of a new era of liberal jurisprudence could be upon us.

This country is just plain gone. If Hillary wins, we’ll eliminate the 1st as well as the 2nd amendments. If Trump should win, we may put that off a little while. But only a little.
Bring this up any time a “conservative” is planning to vote Johnson or stay home. “I’mma cut my losses and wait for 2020.” One new justice *minimum*.
There were no boomers in Congress when legislation creating welfare, the EPA, the Department of Education, the 1965 immigration act, etc were passed.

That’s whole point of this election so nothing new.. at least to Americans and liberals aren’t Americans.
The ill-conceived 17th Amendment actually helped to foster today’s corrupt Supreme Court imo. After all, consider that the corrupt Senate helps the likewise corrupt House to pass unconstitutional appropriations bills, bills like Obamacare that steal not only 10th Amendment-protected powers, but also state revenues uniquely associated with those powers.

But not only does the Senate help to pass such bills, the Senate then confirms activist justices who wrongly declare the unconstitutional laws established by such bills to be constitutional.
So thanks to the 17th Amendment, the Senate is arguably the most unconstitutionally powerful office in the land.

Patriots need to support Trump / Pence by also electing a new, state sovereignty-respecting Congress that will not only work within its constitutional Article I, Section 8-limited powers to support Trump’s vision for making America great again for everybody, but will put a stop to unconstitutonal federal taxes and likewise unconstitutional inteference in state affairs as evidenced by unconstitutional Obamacare.
Note that such a Congress will also probably be willing to fire state sovereignty-ignoring activist justices.
All those things will cause the crime and murder rate to skyrocket, another plus for the Agenda 21 agenda!
I put the beginning of the end MUCH earlier, with the creation of the income tax, creation of the federal reserve, and universal suffrage. These enabled the massive growth of the federal government, culminating in the creation of the welfare/warfare state of the 1960s.
If HRC wins, the end will come at a much faster rate than before. If Trump wins, we may have a several decades or longer reprieve.
How about a fully strictly interpreting Constitution as intended SCOTUS?
I don’t know what the author is talking about. We’ve had a liberal court for decades.
And worse....
Anyone who doesn’t vote for Trump is basically an enemy of the Constitution and everything decent, good, moral and sound that our country was founded upon.
There is no reason why the country can’t turn around. Events will help, too.
I was trying to figure out a rebuttal and that is better than anything I could come up with.
A liberal SCOTUS will ratify Hillary’s executive orders. Congress won’t be necessary. SCOTUS will allow Hillary to give voting rights to illegals. That will make it impossible for a Republican to be elected President, which means that Libs will continue to be able to appoint all of the judges. From that, Libs will then be able to do whatever they want. The US will then be fundamentally and irrevocably changed.
How about the Garden of Eden, with men figuring that they could understand good and evil better than God could?
