A North Carolina university became embroiled in controversy on Friday after a student group posted a 'privilege board' on campus which calls on white, male, able-bodied, Christian, or cisgender people to 'check their privilege.'
Students at Appalachian State University notice the board when they enter Plemmons Student Union, a major campus hub that has allowed the incendiary board to remain in place since last semester.
The board's existence, which was first reported last year by the web site Campus Reform, has conservatives outraged over what they perceive as the singling out of one religious group as well as the imposition of a political point of view on unsuspecting students.
The board first surfaced last year in a residence hall, but now it has been placed in a more prominent location with greater exposure to students.

Those white Christian males should put up a board comparing the students of color who are there on scholarship to the whites. That’s privilege.
Well, there are no men at this “school”.
I was un-hired at the last minute by a state agency because HQ demanded the position be filled with a black. The opening remained on the jobs postings for years and years due to no black applicants.
The history isn’t lost on me, but I’m not the type to go quietly. This board, I would laugh off. If the school started endorsing any policies along these lines then you fight back. If some limp-wristed SJW decided to get in my face it’s an entirely different story.

ASU. What a surprise. Hippy bullshit school that the dumb people in NC go to when they can’t get into NCSU, UNC, or even UNCW and ECU.
I know of police officers who moved up the chain of command who were denied the job of police chief because of the very same reason and were much more qualified than the officer who got the job. I say the person who is most qualified and fit for the job should be selected regardless of their color. I'd choose Allen West over Mitch McConnel or Lindsey Graham any day.

The board IS nonsense. Mandatory ‘diversity training’ is a huge problem.
Haiti is a good example.
I always pick a university to go to where 86%of the students are white....that way I can claim my victim hood.

White so called privilege is something to be thankful for. Its called going to work, instead of whining for handouts.....from whites.
And can be enforced on YOU against YOUR will in public institutions that YOU pay for.
You've GOT to resist. If it comes to physical resistance, I hope for a strictly limited, just and measured violence.
File a civil rights complaint arguing that is is creating a hostile environment. What is good for the goose is good for the gander.
