Actor Tom Arnold is arguing for gun control in the wake of his nephew's suicide.
The Sin City Saints star penned an emotional editorial, published in The Hollywood Reporter on Thursday, detailing his own 52-year history with firearms and the tragic story of his mentally unstable nephew, Spencer.

About seven years ago I came up with a tipping plan that saw me never tip less than $5.00.
It generally covered restaurants where a meal could cost $10 to $20 bucks, and yet the person had given me decent service for periods over an hour. I wanted to help them.
Their shifts don’t last eight hours, and this would help them.
Then the movement came along to increase the hourly wage by force. I’m having to rethink tipping. I will probably go to 10% and perhaps even zero.
He’s got a point if we just had common sense civilian disarmament like Russia and Japan we would have any suicides at all. No, wait! Russia and Japan have significantly higher suicide rates than we have! Our suicide rate is pretty much average for industrialized counties! Looks like Tom Arnold is just another ignorant leftist dancing monkey.
Gun control doesn’t affect suicide rates. Whether you have pissed of Hillary Clinton is a much bigger predictor of whether you will commit suicide.
Needs Repeating !
Tom Arnold: Dear Fellow Hollyweirdos: “Guns are bad!” (I need work).
And anyone should care what this loser thinks or what lies he says because? F... Tom Arnold and his nephew with a corn cob.
Well, Tom, if you wanted to keep a gun away from your nephew what stopped you? And if someone wants to commit suicide a gun is simply one of the messier way to do it. Rope, a belt, a razor blade, exiting a third or higher story window, alcohol with about a hundred different OTC and prescription medications, the ocean, a bathtub filled with water, and walking in front of a bus or a train will all do the job with less noise and comparable or less cleanup.
Hey Tom, it’s called “herd thinning.” You nephew was the slow gazelle eaten by the crocodile as its compatriots forded the stream.
If it wasn’t a gun, it would have been something else. A sad situation for any family; but taking away one’s right to bear arms is not the answer.
So if there were no guns this guy would still be alive? THAT’S RIDICULOUS! He wouldn’t have OD’d himself, or hung himself or jumped off a cliff?
There were two recent suicides in my city this year that didn’t involve guns. They were both women. They both decided to end it all by stepping in from of speeding trains. Two separate unrelated incidents. Does Tom want train control too? If someone decides to end their life there’s many many ways to accomplish that and we could never regulate any of them. Guns are a tool that can be used for good or bad. But they’re a tool that involves a human being making decisions. Where I live we need home protection and I use all my tools for good.
Tom Arnold always plays a moron on TV and films. Maybe he’s just playing himself and he’s not acting.
The gene pool is cleansed of detritus
But he supports the 2nd amendment..????
Then he lied on the 4473 to obtain the guns. Question 11.e. asks: Are you an unlawful user of, or addicted to, marijuana or any depressant, stimulant, narcotic drug, or any other controlled substance?
How many times have we seen people commit homicide or suicide after breaking up with a girlfriend (or, more precisely, her breaking up with him)?
NEWS FLASH: It’s not the gun! If guns didn’t exist, he would find a knife or slit his wrist in the bathtub or ingest poison. Same result only no gun to blame it on.
People who want to kill themselves will find ways to do it. It’s faulty logic to think that gun control would produce fewer suicides.
But since Tom Arnold can’t place responsibility on his nephew, he has to transfer it somewhere and that happens to be the gun. Tom never was very bright.
Instead they cut funding for veterans benefits and reward poor performance at the VA hospitals.
The strongest proponent of the Second Amendment would not have a firearm in the same home/available to a person with a mental illness.
Sorry for his loss, but this is all about personal responsibility. The fault is whomever left the gun where his nephew could get it, not the tens of millions who didn’t.
Actor Tom Arnold doesn’t care much for his nephew. How did he want his nephew to commit suicide? With fire? With a knife? With a noose?
No, Tom. The answer is ‘no.’
