Survival Expert James Rawles Warns: “There’s Going To Be A Massive Run On Firearms… Bigger Than (TR)
SHTF Plan ^ | August 16, 2016 | Mac Slavo

James Wesley Rawles is a former intelligence officer of the United States Army, prolific author and one of the top survival experts in the world. In his best-selling book series Patriots he paints a terrifying picture of a post-collapse America where food is scarce, currency is worthless, law and order have broken down, and survival is a daily struggle. It’s a fictional tale, of course, but one that is grounded in real-world possibilities.

In his latest interview with SGT Report, the SurvivalBlog.com founder breaks down the probability of such a scenario and explains that should it come to pass, where hyperinflation destroys our currency or a world war ravages America, the most important thing to have in your possession will be essential tangible assets.

Further, Rawles notes that as we get closer to the possibility of a Hillary Clinton Presidency, we may soon see panic buying of firearms, ammunition and gun-related accessories.

Venezuela is a microcosm of a centrally planned government and currency run amok… and we need to learn from their example.

If you notice the things that people are clamoring for are tangibles… they’re looking for food and they’re looking for currencies that are inflation proof and that usually means precious metals.

So if we’re going to learn anything from Venezuela it’s tangibles, tangibles, tangibles.

…Wake up… watch what’s happening in Venezuela… you need to get your beans, bullets and band aids squared away… Those tangible items are going to be what pulls your family through the hard times ahead. And regardless of what happens to currencies, if you have a honest one year supply of food, preferably two years, and a good core position in physical precious metals that you hold at home… hidden… not in

those bags will still permit oxygen infiltration. if you want to really last a long time, seal it with a food saver and throw it in a mylar bag with an oxygen absorber. chocolate will last for years with no noticeable deterioration

The food saver comes with attachments that allow you to seal canning jars. That's what I use.

I’ve used it to seal popcorn and nuts. It works very well.

I also buy the larger quantities of spices and do that to them and store them in the freezer.

I’ll bet that would work well for coffee, too.

For most of my spices that I use regularly, I have an herb garden. Sage, thyme, oregano, and chives are all perennials. Rosemary is cold sensitive. Paresly is a biennial but reseeds itself freely.

“Living in the middle of nowhere is fine”

If you haven’t already lived in the middle of nowhere and know what to expect, you’re going to die. A better situation is to live in the middle of an armed, Christian community.

If there is any serious gun confiscation (ie Australian model), there will be a civil war. That’s why the government thugs have been careful to limit gun control to leftist states and the big cities. We have had beta testing on a few vets and there is a push in the schools and in health care to identify and selectively target gun owners.

Any full throttled across the board gun confiscation effort by a hitlery or 0bama EO would meet with resistance. Yes, there will be some in the military that will blindly follow orders and shoot US citizens that resist. But many if not most will go AWOL or figure out clever means of evading orders as things deteriorate. These are the people that will wait to see who will be the winner (s). Meanwhile, some will remain military with the aim of overthrowing the existing order and installing themselves as leaders or warlords. At that point, the central government will cease to exist.

A demoralized and divided military cannot function as an effective operating unit. As we have seen in many examples in history, large forces can be defeated when only 10% or so of the unit refuses to follow orders. Look at the Italians in Libya vs the British in WW2. On the opposite extreme, the Japanese soldier fervently and religiously believed that their life belonged to the emperor fought to the death and only rarely surrendered.

A US civil war would likely result in a civil war within the military. It seems inconceivable that under these circumstances the military could maintain cohesion in a war against American conservatives, vets, Christians. The individual soldier would need a unifying ideology that clearly separates themselves from their target. The Nazis had one, the Japanese had one, the Italians did not.

What would the individual American soldier fight for in a CW2? Leftism, communism, fascism; the worship of an 0bama or hitlery?

A CW is not the future of America. When the globalist oligarchy has all the plans in place to carry out the post apocalypse agenda, the American economy will be collapsed and the resulting chaos, starvation and disease will ‘pacify’ the survivors so that the already established ‘policing forces’ sustained during the chaos will have little trouble ‘cleaning up the neighborhoods’ for the new world order. Gun confiscation will be instituted AFTER the chaos, disease, starvation, and mayhem have reduced the populations to ‘manageable’ levels.

It has been said that Indians used two colors of corn cobs, the red one for the first swipes, and the white one to make sure they got it all.

“would precious gem jewelry be of any worth?”

No. Only jewelers and gemologists would know the value of cut gemstones, and the market value would fluctuate from buyer to buyer. You can buy rough gemstones for a song. You can also pass off cheap, man-made cubic zirconia jewelry as diamond rings, pendants, etc. You can buy decent zirconia cut stones and jewelry from communist China or Thailand on eBay for a few dollars.

Don’t confuse real zircon gemstones with the man-made zirconia. They are similar in appearance but zircon is much more expensive.

Have fun...

Here’s some news for you:

The Hamptons, where the elites live, is not a defensible position.

Rawles has been predicting the end of the world for the past 20 years.

It’s made him a wealthy man.

Is this really different than 19th century evangelists?

very true but you can’t deny that the current state of the US is very dim and if

the hildabeast wins all bets are off.

You could be right and I do agree that the globalists want a slow and smooth transition to tyranny. This is well on it’s way to being accomplished in Western Europe. The progressive movement in America began in the late 19th century and is a Fabian socialist, Satanic work in progress.

That being said, history has also provided examples of cyclical violent revolutions, economic collapses, world wars and civil wars. According to some that analyze historical and political cycles (ie Martin Armstrong) we are due for these between now and 2020.

We could go the way of Venezuela or descend into a fascist state a la Nazi Germany. However, what took place before tyranny or the collapse- Gun control and confiscation.

In fact, I think that an American CW2 is just what the globalists want. After the electrical grid hack and/or EMP, they can send in UN troops, Chinese troops to restore order.

Betcha coffee would be worth its weight in gold.

Along with tobacco. And tobacco is easier to grow :)

I'm still expanding on my seed stash. I have fruits, vegetables, grains, culinary herbs, and medicinal herbs, but not all of them have been tested yet. And with the grains, I have a pretty wide variety but not a large enough amount.

I'm slowly getting there.

laplata :" Thank you for the ping."

Just trying to keep the preppers ping notified, informed, and up to date on the recent events and thoughts.
Prepping doesn't occur after an event,
because by that time, the crisis has already occurred .
We prep because we anticipate.

I’ve used it to seal popcorn and nuts. It works very well.

I've owned Foodsaver brand sealers and have switched to a MUCH better unit. It's called The Nesco VS-02

It is about 60 bucks and is a better unit than the Foodsavers for a number of reasons. I'll never go back to Foodsaver. Overpriced.
