Hillary Clinton Campaign Bracing for ‘Major Attack’ by Donald Trump
NY Post ^ | August 15, 2016 | 8:18 | Daniel Harper

The Clinton campaign is gearing up for Donald Trump “to bet everything on one final, major attack,” according to a fundraising email sent Monday morning by campaign manager Robby Mook.

Mook has come to this conclusion, he writes, because Trump has raised a ton of money but hasn’t spent anything on TV ads.

“Last month, Trump and the GOP raised over $80 million. And he hasn’t spent one dollar on any TV advertising. I’m not exaggerating — literally since the general election began, he hasn’t spent any money whatsoever on one of the most critical components of a winning campaign,” Mook writes.

“We have to anticipate that Trump’s going to spend big in the last lap of this race — and we know that a flood of money in the final few weeks could undermine all the work we’ve put in to build this campaign,” he ads.

This is a fundraising advertisement. In order to get money from their true believers, they'd claim he bathes in baby blood on full moons if they have to.

The real point is, all this fundraising money won't buy anything that will get more votes than Trump can get with a couple of well placed tweets.

Trump is saving his money, certainly, but I think it will be more for get out the vote ground troops near election time than tv ads.

will the MSM even sell him any ad space or air time

Trump should do massive buys on local cable channels nation-wide. It's cheap, can be targeted to certain audiences, and totally bypasses the RATagandist networks.

I am assuming they have a targeted plan to make and buy the ads, but one interesting thing I had not thought about is, many times a campaign, like Hillary and Romney/Obama before, pre-buy the ad time for the fall months in advance at a discount. Now Trump will get charged more because of this strategy, and get less coverage for the $$$$.

Of course it is like anything else....prebuying is great if your plans work, but you could over or under buy based on how the election is going...and who can know that for sure whenever it was bought. Now team Trump knows exactly where to go with their internal polls.

They make it sound like an Ardennes offensive/Operation Autumn Mist/Battle of the Bulge.

Man I hate journalists.

Trump’s final push is going to be like Patton rolling on Germany, greasing his treads with their yellow Nazi socialist guts.

Yeah, but this sort of “free advertising” has been 95% negative, often with distortions and lies about what he actually said. He’d be doing much better in the polls right now if he weren’t getting 24/7 viciously negative attack “ads” from the media. He needs to change the narrative to something more positive for him and relying on the press isn’t going to do that.

The problem with waiting until the end to start advertising is that the number of undecided voters in the polls keep going down and most seem to be coalescing at the moment behind Hillary. This new support of hers is soft, so Trump can certainly steal it away from her at the end, but it would simply be easier and less risky to try to convince undecided voters over to his side before they ever have the chance to become newly decided Hillary voters. He should never have let it get to the point where a lot of people who don’t really like Hillary have decided that it’s acceptable to vote for her nonetheless.

Why let her dominate in controlling the narrative about herself and Trump for months? These ads about him outsourcing his own businesses and the devasting ad with the mother of a dead soldier offended at Trump’s “attack” on another mother of a dead vet are undercutting two of his strongest policy planks, making it harder to convince people even if they actually hear him directly speaking about these issues.

Are ads as effective as they used to be? Probably not, but let’s not pretend that nobody sees these. I usually leave the room or change the channel during commercials, but with certain ads being so ubiquitous and running non-stop, I’ve still seen several well-made, brutal attacks ads against Trump, as well as some that make Hillary look like a great humanitarian.

Lots of people just barely follow the news and are still be undecided. They are the sort who will be most easily swayed by attack ads, because they don’t really know enough about either candidate to realize if an ad is false or not. If some of these sort have had it in their minds for months that Trump doesn’t care about American workers, that he hates the military, that he is erratic and dangerous, etc., then it will be much harder to convince them at the end that Trump is a good, safe choice for president.

So far, the Democrats themselves seem to be their own worst enemies. Donald doesn’t have to say much.

A soft sell might not be the worst sell for Donald. Like well, go ahead and cozy up to Hillary if you must, but now here’s exactly what you cozied up to.

But the press virtually always overdoes its negativity. Even when they “win” they lose.

I’ll believe it when I see it. I’m still waiting for George H. W. Bush’s advertising campaign to start from 1992. This has all the hallmarks of a losing campaign. Go ahead, Trump. Prove me wrong.

They’re having trouble figuring out how to ramp up their fraud schemes enough to cover the massive votes for him they know is coming -

She probably lies awake nights figuring out how she could possibly get away with adding him to the 50-something list of dead bodies in her wake.

It’s time for her karma to catch up with her -
