Democratic nominee Hillary R. Clinton leads in a four-way contest with 42 percent of the vote, compared to Donald J. Trump with 37 percent, Libertarian Gary Johnson with 9 percent, and 3 percent for Green Party nominee Dr. Jill Stein, according to a Breitbart/Gravis national poll conducted Aug. 9 with 2,832 likely voters.

Trump’s huge rallies and Hillary’s Classroom rallies make no difference ?
It’s not so much that the electorate preferred Obama as it was they were uninspired about the alternatives.
In 2008, Obama was a fresh face to Bush’ successor McCain.
In 2012, Romney was a disgusting alternative causing more than 6 million blue collar republicans to abstain from voting for him.
In both these elections. there simply wasn’t a good choice.
In 2010, the Tea Party caused the House to be turned over to the GOP and the detestable John Boehner.
In 2014, republicans and independents caused the Senate to be turned over to the GOP and the detestable Mitch McConnell.
Key Facts:
1) In 2010, 24% of the electorate were registered as Independent.
2) In 2014, 42% of the electorate were registered as Independent.
There’s a very good reason this shift occurred. A substantial majority of those registered Independent are conservative leaning. They voted in a GOP Senate in order to deny Harry Reid an opportunity to cause further mischief and harm to the country. They held their noses.
But Independents are firmly in the Trump camp and will vote for him. Thus, 2016 is quite different.
All polls, including Breitbart, including those favorable to Trump, are invalid because their scientifically designed sampling plans are not able to be followed because of ~90% nonresponse rates. Most Independents can be confidently expected to hang up because as a group they are fed up.
Better indicators of the strength of campaigns today are social media traffic and rally enthusiasm.
Any military polling?
I didn’t even understand how they could vote for Bill Clinton, let alone his insane “wife”.
Yes I am very suspicious of that number, mainly because I don’t think he has that much name recognition. I think the media is going to try and push him up to get him in the debates, thinking it kills Trump’s chances.
2,832 likely voters. It’s a big sample size.
I’ve had similar thoughts. If she wins either through fraud or with an honest vote count, we, as a nation, deserve it.
The leftist cultural revolution should have been put down in the 60’s, abortion should have been stopped in it’s tracks, we should have learned when Carter was in, Bill Clinton should have been thrown out when impeached, obama never should have been elected. Come on now, with this record Hitlery will likely win and be our death blow.
2832 likely voters? Gimme a break.
I just wonder what America these Hillary voters want. What America do they even think they have right now?
“2,832 likely voters. Its a big sample size.”
That sample size does not make sense as it would cost around $71,000 to complete and the Margin of Error would not be significantly reduced from a sample size of 850.
I don’t see Breitbart spending $71k on a survey.
Just think how good he’d be doing if the bastard GOPe would support him and campaign for him and raise money for him. If he loses it’s these evil bastards that lost it. Every one of them should burn in hell for electing Hillary Clinton president and losing the Supreme Court for the next 40 years.
Yep ..the *itch might end up pulling this off. Oh my God another four years of a Clinton in office..bad..bad ..bad!!!! But I’m telling you all right here if Trump loses I will blame all of this not only on the media but especially on the Republican establishment! I will never vote again for another republican again! I will stay home and never cast a vote again and let this country go to hell! We as a nation deserve what is coming around the corner with another freakin KKKlinton!!!
The spread seems to have settled back to where it was before the conventions. I think Trump should stick to a few bullet points - immigration and unfair trade, and instead of just calling Hillary crooked, point out that she is advocating a tax and spend approach that never works. Let his surrogates work on exposing her crimes.
Looking on the bright side, much of that vote could be pro-pot Bernie voters. Many are rabidly neverHillary.
We can always hope.
Since we don’t know internals, pretty much meaningless. If this is a D+7 sample, we have a tie.
All in all, not bad for Trump I figure he’s 2-3 down, but that’s very fluid and can shift rapidly.
Excellent analogy.
“Im going with the notion that God will not allow this evil bitch to become President. She is the most corrupt evil woman in history.
This is the only thing that comforts me lol and Im sticking to it”
Well, I have been telling people in church it will take an act of God at this point for Trump to be elected, so I guess that kind of fits.
At least it’s not the 13 point advantage that she has on some shame poll earlier this week.
Polls are only as good as the people answering the phones. I would guess that most people have caller ID and don’t pick up calls from people they don’t know. Also, there is the fact that many people have switched from land line phones to cell phones. As far as I know, few individuals give out their cell numbers. Difficult to give credence to polls these days.
