Donald Trump Daily Regimen.
The Holy Bible of the Living God ^ | Thousands of years ago | Moses/David

Posted on 08/13/2016 8:57:46 AM PDT by true believer forever

91 Donald Trump dwelleth in the secret place of the most High and Donald Trump abides under the shadow of the Almighty.

2   Donald Trump says of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.

3    Surely the Lord delivers Donald from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.

4    The Lord covers Donald Trump with his feathers, and under his wings does Donald Trump trust: the Lord's truth shall be Donald's shield and buckler.

5    Donald Trump is not afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;

6   Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.

A thousand shall fall at Donald Trump's side, and ten thousand at his right hand; but it shall not come nigh him.

Only with Donald's eyes will he behold and see the punishment of the wicked.

Because Donald Trump hast made the Lord, which is his refuge, even the most High, his habitation;

10 There shall no evil befall Donald Trump, neither shall any plague come nigh Donald's dwelling.

11 For the Lord gives his angels charge over Donald, to keep him in all his ways.

12 They shall bear Donald up in their hands, lest he dash his foot against a stone.

13   Donald Trump shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt he trample under foot.

14 Because Donald Trump hath set his love upon the Lord, therefore the Lord will deliver him: The Lord will set Donald on high, because Donald has known the name of the Lord.

15 Donald Trump shall call upon the Lord, and the Lord will answer him: the Lord will be with Donald Trump in trouble; the Lord will deliver Donald and honor him.

16 With long life will the Lord satisfy Donald Trump and show him the Lord's salvation.

It’s jarring to see Trump’s name in there, sorry. This is the Psalm Satan quoted—basely and misleadingly—to Jesus in the desert:

If you are the Son of God, throw yourself down from here, for it is written,

“‘He will command his angels concerning you, to guard you,’

and

“‘On their hands they will bear you up, lest you strike your foot against a stone.’” Jesus simply replied, “It is said, ‘You shall not put the Lord your God to the test.’”

Note what Satan left out:

“You will tread on the lion and the adder; the young lion and the serpent you will trample underfoot.”

Only Jesus can fulfill that so, no, Trump doesn’t fit in there any more than you or I do.

But for the here and now? PawPaw Trump for President 2016!

Thank you for teaching me about this psalm. I can see why some might find it offputting. So what do you suggest for the military people who rely mightily on this psalm to protect their loved ones in faroff and terrible places? I mean there are all kinds of dog tags, shirts, tees, bracelets, lockets, tatoos, and lots of other stuff with quotes from that psalm being worn right now by many many people in the military. Thanks for explaining this to me.

Yeah, pray for Trump, big time. He is under the greatest assault of any human being in history. The forces of evil are attacking him 24/7.

Just my personal opinion: Violating and denigrating the Word of God like this is blasphemy.

I’m still learning, too, and your post brings up a huge point about God and His promises.

Our circumstances can appear to give lie to the reality found in Psalm 91. Like, “where’s this protection”? If we look at the Lord’s crucifixion (and millennia of martyrs) it’s obvious that Psalm 91 can’t be a blanket cover of protection from physical harm (even to its original recipients). But what about SPIRITUAL harm?

Something hit me recently:

“But as surely as God is faithful, our message to you is not “Yes” and “No.” For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by us—by me and Silas and Timothy—was not “Yes” and “No,” but in him it has always been “Yes.” For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God.”—2 Cor. 2

“True believer forever”...secure in Christ forever! All the promises of God are YES in Christ, independent of earthly circumstance.

This week in Orlando, while speaking to an audience of pastors, Trump made a remark that caused me to pause. It was at the end when he was imploring the pastors to encourage their congregants to vote on November 8 that he said something very revealing. In Trump’s indomitable style - half sincere and half in jest - he said it was essential that he did a good job as president because he figured it was, maybe, the only way he would get to heaven. This remark is revealing in a couple of ways. First, I believe it was an honest, humble statement of belief by him. Secondly, it shows that his understanding of biblical scripture is rudimentary because we know no one is saved by doing good works, but only by God’s grace. However, what matters most is that, without realizing it, Trump was expressing God’s call to him to do this task. This diamond in the rough doesn’t yet fully grasp that the Holy Spirit is now leading him on the greatest journey of his lifetime, to save this nation conceived by the hand of God while deepening and enriching his own spiritual soul.

Yes, I agree with you wholeheartedly. When you think of his churching, especially in his adult years, consisted of sitting in the Norman Vincent Peale services, where the exposure to the the bible was almost always positive thinking. I have always felt that the Presidency itself may be one of the things that could possibly drive him to his knees.

The other day he thanked the evangelicals for their support and said they were much more patient with him than he deserved. These little glimpses of humility are a first, and I see them as promising. Thanks for your very thoughtful post.

At first I was regretting posting this because of all the negativity, but I am now amazed at how much I have learned from the responses to my post. Thank you so much!
