I had a customer who was going to do this. I suggested that he sell tickets to the event, post it on youtube, maybe sell tickets for who gets to do him in. Make money off the event to leave his kids or at least pay for the part.

I guess the upshot of the party is you don't need to bring a gift.

A death party. I would decline the invitation.

I thought I read that there was recently a big breakthrough in ALS research, funded by ice-bucket challenges.

Oh God, be merciful to this poor woman. She could not have been in her right mind & excruciating pain can deprive one of sanity.

Show her Thy love, O Lord.

Morally, I know these are wrong. But, hanging around so the medical-industrial complex can stretch out the inevitable past the point where you can enjoy life seems wrong too.

Now, her choice of a “favorite movie” to force her guests to watch would have made me take the death drugs!

One metaphysical teaching on suicide from the reincarnationists is one re-embodies quickly right back into the situation one left.

Depending on how much karma was balanced by the cause that produced the disease, one may or may not have the same disease.

How sad that someone feels the need to do this.

Prayers for this misguided soul

Being kept alone artificially is not natural, I do not have problems with people saying no to that technology. With certain terminal diseases like ALS, being trapped in your own body and not being able to live, but merely exist and not even interact, I don’t call that living either. In the olden days these people would have died quickly. Back then people were grateful the sick were out of their suffering.

And just one rule: No crying in front of her.

Of course - this is California, show no real emotions.

It's the liberal way, and why "Spirit" has "gifted" everyone with antidepressants. Smile and feel nothing - then you can rape truth and sleep at night.

California insanity is 360 degrees - no acting out here, darling. Everything has come around full circle, like a spiral, no mistakes, total loyalty, pure commitment to the group.

Happy, happy, happy - but only to the amount allowed.

GOT IT?

A neighbor of mine recently died from ALS. It is truly a horrible way to go.

Nonetheless I can’t condone this.

She undoubtedly signed her absentee ballot for Hillary before checking out.

If not, no problem, it will still be counted for Hillary.

I ordinarily would not share something of a personal nature, however when my Mom passed away about a year and a half ago, she had the option of all kinds of ‘treatments’ that might have prolonged her life, but her quality of life would never have been as it was before (she suffered an unexpected slip and fall which broke her wrist and hip, the surgery weakened her, and she was unable to regain her strength).

We said our goodbyes, and she refused to eat, she signed her own ‘DNR’ order, and asked to be sent to hospice, where I must say those people cared for her with exquisite love, one of the last things she said to me was “we’ve had a pretty good run, but now I have to find the exit on my own”, and she began to tell visitors that she could see my Dad (who passed on in 2007) and her mother (who passed away in 1958) and we knew she was getting closer to that ‘exit’, but she found it on her own, without the need of any end-of-life drugs, and she passed away peacefully in her sleep, thanks be to God.

I am not fond of these Kevorkian morals.

See the movie - “The Invitation” on Netflix.

She left the most important Person off her guest list . . .the Lord Jesus Christ. A missed opportunity to witness to friends and loved ones. Maybe she did and it was not mentioned in the story . . some journalists do tend to overlook including relationships with the Lord.
