Authorities in Norrtälje are asking homeowners to give their houses up for newly arrived migrants after around 30 marched to protest their accommodation. In a targeted mailshot residents were asked: “Does your country house stand empty in winter?” Some houses in the Stockholm municipality are only occupied during the summer and so authorities hope to match migrants up with housing.

We never rented to Section 8. It does not take much neglect to rack up $20K in repairs. Many months of profit lost?
I used to help a guy who bought returned Section 8 rentals from their disgusted owners. We’d go in and replace all the stolen plumbing, pipes, HVAC, electrical wiring, fixtures and basically complete a ‘framed’ house.
He’d turn around and sell it to another ‘investor’ looking to get on that Section 8 gravy train. :0)
He made a killing on the repurchase and flip sale.
They have to know you have them first in order to go after them.

So you give them your house for winter and then you get it back in summer? What state would it be in?
Presumably your house is be furnished and has all your stuff in it or are they proposing to move your stuff out and store it and then move it back in the summer? Then where do the ‘migrant’s go in the summer? Camp out in your yard?
Doesn’t make sense to me.
However, they wanted the migrants so yeah, give up your homes.

Exactly! Like in Australia & UK where national gun registries have been in place for decades. Police know who has what & where. Parliamentary governments have no separation of powers and bans on any type of gun can be whistled up in an instant. Turn in your banned gun, mate, or go to jail. Or is it gaol?
Here, no confiscation without registration. Diane Feinstein has pushed for federal registration of all guns & licensing of all owners for decades, and to zero effect. Won’t happen here. She’ll go to her grave as a colossal failure at gun control.
Doomsayers on FR think the POTUS can self-identify as Dear Leader with a stroke of the pen, and send out his flying monkeys to kick in all our doors, nationwide.
Google terms like “martial law”, “confiscate guns”, “abrogate the Constitution”, “suspend civil liberties”, and such. None of those are easy to carry out and would set the states at war with the central government.
Oh - just for laughs, google “what other nations think of us”, or “Americans don’t care what foreigners think”. On most of the sites the commenters are foreign and they throw up their hands in frustration that we guilty Yanks have our guns, that they disapprove of our having guns, and that there’s nothing they can do about it except behave rudely to any American foolish enough to set foot in their own enlightened compassionate socialistic lands.

Any gun owner worth his salt has already made sure he has an appreciable part of his collection from non-Form 4473 acquisitions (legal citizen-to-citizen ones, of course).
They'll give up the homes without hesitation if it means the time off keep coming and confrontation is avoided.
Gee, not only does this mean that you have to say “no!” just to keep your property, but likely that you have to station armed people in your home to prevent the government from saying “finders keepers!”
Which they will almost certainly do.
The best bet would be to insure the heck out of it, then to burn it down. Maybe you can rebuild it later.
Who is dumb enough to do that? Let the Swedish Royalty, the PM, etc. give up theirs first and then yell, HELL NO!
On the subject of Form 4473, it is a snapshot, not a marriage certificate.
There is no requirement except in some nutcake states to report the transfer, sale, or even theft of a firearm. Without that requirement, 4473 can only show point of initial sale. Disposition of the firearm afterward is the owner’s business only unless there is a drastic change in Federal law.
Now...when I was stationed in Germany I took my S&W Chiefs Special with me. It of course would not qualify for import under factoring criteria, so I wrote to BATFE & got a letter back stating I bought it in the U.S., with serial# & date, so no problemo.

Understand. The Form 4473 is a record by the FFL seller of the sale with the particulars. It is kept by the seller on site, required to be in fireproof container until the license is relinquished or LE contacts them about a SPECIFIC sale with identified SERIAL NUMBER with regard to a crime (this requires a warrant, I’m pretty sure). LE gets the serial number from the weapon used in a crime, then polls the manufacturer as to who they sold it to and then they are supposed to get the seller to ante up.\
In my state, citizen-to-citizen sales do not have to be documented nor go through NICS, etc. Good faith and due diligence on the seller’s part.
The Federal government is not allowed to do blanket walkthroughs of Forms 4473 to record the information, but that doesn’t mean they don’t try it with a stupid seller they can BS. (It is has been documented in Arizona they’ve tried this, BTW.)
