Sen. Susan Collins of Maine has become the second and most-senior Republican senator to say she will not vote for GOP nominee Donald Trump for president.
In an op-ed published online Monday night in The Washington Post, Ms. Collins said it was not a decision I make lightly, for I am a lifelong Republican.
The column outlined a series of common criticisms of Mr. Trumps conduct and temperament mocking a reporter with disabilities, feuding wioth a Muslim Gold Star family, suggesting a Mexican-American judge might not be impartial.

If Trump's not elected many of us will leave the party. Also, on a personal level I'll never vote for another Republican...
Me too. The Republicans were dead before Trump came along. Do they even ask themselves why Trump won? It shows how much their party sucks that Donald Frickin' Trump was the nominee of their loser party.
the other 1/2 of the “golddust Twins”...The milkmaid and the hashslinger....Do your own DD on their qualifications
Yes, indeed. Their days of power are all but over, and their fear is showing in big ways. It is fun to witness...
Absolutely, I hear you!
Pence is a Christian, Conservative, and Republican, “in that order.”
Susan Collins: a “lifelong Republican.”
meh
Another Uniparty attention whore.
Susan Collins (D-ME)
There fixed it.
Collins and her ex-senator twin from Maine Oly Snowe - two POS in a pond of poo...
Susan Collins, the female equivalent of shaky voice Joe LIEberman...pretends to care about liberty, then goes statist.
The GOP in Maine is a tough nut to crack. It’s an insider’s club, like most politics. If you aren’t wealthy, you can’t buy your way in.
I've never voted for either Collins or Snowe. Just leave that blank, or spoil that space by voting for more than one candidate. The clerk hates it when I do that.
Trump is provoking a political realignment. Collins is a globalist. So is most of the GOP (globalist). At least one of the two parties needs to die, if nationalism and patriotism are to persist for a little while longer.
Maine is a caucuses state, the voters have no say in caucuses states. Cruz winning the GOP caucus is not predictive of anything.
Democratic and Republican presidential caucuses took place in the Pine Tree State on March 5 and March 6, respectively.
Not surprising at all. But will she now do the right thing and caucus as an independent rather than as a Republican?
Corrected headline: “GOP Senator responsible for aiding and abetting the downfall of America won’t vote for the guy who threatens to cut off the gravy-train”.....
Trump is the Outmeister!
Add her name to the list.
RINO, Rat or whatever, the fact remains that if you can’t get this segment of the GOP to vote for Trump, then he isn’t going to beat Hillary. I’m just saying this so that you don’t make the same mistake again in 2020. I think the damage has already been done for this election cycle.
But like the other RINOs, she wants conservatives to vote for her. Remember this.
Bullshit. There will be plenty of blue collar moderate Dems who will support Trump, which will make up for the RINO Traitors. This is the Trump version of the Reagan democrats of 1980.
