Ex-CIA officer launches presidential campaign aimed at thwarting Donald Trump

A former CIA case officer who has served as top policy aide to House Republicans is launching an independent campaign for the presidency on Monday with the backing of veteran GOP strategists and donors determined to block Donald Trump of getting anywhere near the White House.

Feeding off mounting discontent within GOP ranks over Trump, Evan McMullin — who is resigning today as chief policy director for the House Republican Conference — will announce his campaign with an open “Letter to America” aimed at rallying independents and conservatives to his cause.

“It’s never too late to do the right thing, and America deserves much better than either Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton can offer us,” McMullin , 40, said in his announcement statement. “I humbly offer myself as a leader who can give millions of disaffected Americans a conservative choice for president.”

Although the candidacy of a political unknown with no experience in electoral politics seems improbable at best, strategists working with Better for America, a group that has been dedicated to stopping Trump, told Yahoo News that they believed the McMullin campaign has a genuine chance to catch on. The group claimed that he even has a plausible path to victory through a deadlocked race that ultimately goes to the House of Representatives to resolve if neither Trump nor Clinton gets the required 270 electoral votes.

Trump must get this message to the voters. This is a UNIPARTY GLOBALIST OPEN-BORDERS attempt at overthrowing the republic forever, and it must be stopped.

Amen. When talking with friends, family, and strangers, it's much better to stay away from "democrat vs. republican" language -- it makes their defenses go up immediately and they tune you out.

Tell the truth: It's the Uniparty Elite Establishment against the rest of us. And in addition to telling the truth in your conversation, this approach unifies you with with the person you're trying to convince. They may not show it outwardly, but that's okay. They walk away with a much higher chance of understanding Truth. We ARE in this together against the globalists who want us defenseless and on their plantation. I think there will be more Bernie supporters who cross over than the polls are showing, and I'm just tickled pink. They hate globalists as much as we do!

Just yesterday i was speaking with a black acquaintance and managed to align myself with her while talking about the globalist Uniparty who want to take our guns away. It's a part of their history, MUCH more than it is for whites, imo. If they had not had access to guns in the '40's and '50's, there would have been many more lynchings than there were. And that's fact. Those white southern Democrats were TRULY racists!

They are trying to pull a 1994 VA tactic against Trump like they did to Ollie North

Hated the fact an outsider decisively won the GOP primary

Cost the GOP a Senate seat back then

An irrelevancy. No matter how popular he may suddenly become (har har har) he will not be on the ballot or qualified as a write-in candidate in the majority of states.

“I [Evan "Mullet" McMullin] humbly offer myself as a leader who can give millions of disaffected Americans a conservative choice for president.”

The "conservative" who would elect Hillary.

Shove it, McMullet.

Wait a minute. Here you are talking about the Uniparty, but you were berating me for saying the Republic no longer exists as functioning Republic.

Which is it? A uniparty or a functioning republic?

I say uniparty, and the republic, as it was designed, is dead.

Where in the world have all these dipshits come from? It makes me question my own sanity that I have been associated with the republican party. If they want to commit suicide, so be it, just do not take the rest of world along.

The only people fighting our votes are the elitist establishment types like Romney. If he shut the hell up then we can stop this nonsense.

Romney and others care nothing about this country, the fix was in years ago to keep the borders open, get cheap labor , and ignore the voters. Now only if the Bernie voters and many of the Dems would wake up to what we have in this country.A bunch of corrupt people raking in millions while destroying the country and to hell with us all.

What regular people out there support open-borders, warmongering neo-con, screw Americans, international businessmen and bankers first, globalist establishment figures? I know a lot of people in power think this way, but are there actually any regular voters who support this crap?

Is this the best they can come up with? Somehow I don’t think Trump is shivering in his boots.

So a milquetoast flip flopper like Romney they could stand, but not Trump? The hypocrisy. These guys who told us to hold our noses and vote Romney want us to thwart Trump and elect Hilary?

They are doing more to elect Hilary than the Hilary campaign. Only 66% of GOP plan to vote for Trump vs 88% for Hilary by Dems.

The title of the video is “Why saying ‘never again’ to genocide is not enough.”

That sounds familiar.
