Mike Pence ‘strongly’ endorses Paul Ryan, as Trump refuses to do the same

As Donald Trump holds off endorsing House Speaker Paul D. Ryan in Wisconsin's Republican primary, his running mate enthusiastically endorsed Ryan on Wednesday, calling him a “longtime friend” and “strong conservative leader.”

“I strongly support Paul Ryan, strongly endorse his reelection,” Indiana Gov. Mike Pence said during an interview on Fox News on Wednesday afternoon. “I believe we need Paul Ryan in leadership in the Congress of the United States to rebuild our military, to strengthen our economy and to ensure that we have the kind of leadership in this country that will make America great again.”

Trump has angered his party's leadership by refusing to endorse Ryan or Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) in their primary campaigns. Both Ryan and McCain have endorsed Trump but have remained critical of many of his comments, including Trump's ongoing public feud with the parents of a Muslim American soldier killed in 2004. Wisconsin holds its primary Tuesday and the Arizona primary is later this month. In an interview with The Washington Post on Tuesday, Trump praised Ryan’s underdog opponent, Paul Nehlen.

Perhaps they have something on Pence that no one has unearthed, yet.

“Trump has angered his party’s leadership by refusing to endorse Ryan or Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.”

Ryan played around with Trump, treating him like a child for months, and has never came out and said he was supporting him. He said he would vote for him. Ryan is an ass.

McCain for the past year has called Trump every name in the book. McCain needs to retire and a good nursing home. I hope like hell that both of them lose to a real conservative. If McCain wins he’ll continue to be an enemy of the republican party.

I think Trump picked Pence because it was “strongly suggested” that he do so. So he did it thinking it would help him with the rino party. I don’t trust Pence. And praising Ryan tells me all I need to know about him.

Of course, I’m not convinced any of this is on the up and up.

Who said I’m concerned? I’m merely being (O, my stars and garters!) objective. Trump said he’d be a uniter and he’s united precisely what?

Gingrich would not pull this kind of crap.

I don’t know what train Pence is on but its not the TRUMP TRAIN

I really don’t think Trump made the right choice.

How Pence could like Ryan

Open borders and Amnesty
Funded Obamacare
Voted for every deficit increase
For Nafta
For TPP
Was for Cruz, Rubio anyone but Trump
Ryan mad Trump want to build a wall
Ryan mad Trump wants a pause on bringing in Muzzies
Ryan is for cheap labor and lower American worker wages

So, my question is what exactly is it in this record that Pence supports?

Can this be undone.

Why does it seem Trump has to eat a crap sandwich but Ryan the do nothing accomplish nothing speaker of the house doesn’t.

I am fast getting tired of being a Republican. Please talk to Charles and others, this is not how a VP supports his Party Presidential candidate.

Besides, remember Spiro Agnew? he was Nixon’s attack hit man, Pence is making Donald do this which is backfiring on him being Presidential. Pence ain’t doing his Job. Katerina Pierson is doing what Pence should be doing. Ann and Sarah are doing Pence’s job and they ain’t getting paid for it.

Sorry to complain to you Mo, but this isn’t how its supposed to be, Trump should be above the Fray and Pence should be agreeing with Trump not undercutting him. Pence should be on the attack not a few good women like Phyllis, Sarah, Ann, and Katerina.

Pence doesn’t like his traditional role or Trump’s views he should resign.

The Pence pick gave me an a lot of other conservative (not “conservative” with stupid air quotes) freepers I know hope for a Trump administration. Good pick. Much better than Fat boy CC, Newt, or a centrist registered democrat General. Very very smart move.

I only had a TV a couple years in my adult life, happened to be around the Clinton impeachment time. I never read MSM, only FR and one other site and links thereon of course. But too much....

And I like your reminder. Reading too much news really gets me stressed out. God IS in control and the more I make an effort to meditate on that, the more at peace I am.

I’ll go for a walk now, plus I need exercies.

Thanks!

You Trumpsters are certifiable nuts. Not only is your leader psychopathic, you apparently share the same traits.

It appears that you are on a mission to kneecap Trump and those of us truing to stop Hillary.

I hope all of you enjoy your life in the bunkers while Hillary has her 8 years destroying whats left of America!

Thanks entirely to those trying to kneecap Trump and besmirch his supporters.

That would be like FDR saying in 1940, "If Germany wins I will make peace with them, If England wins I will make peace with them. Whoever wins I will deal with them."

Sounds stupid like there is no difference.

You can make fun of me all that you want. I know I work in a small company with 30 employees and almost all of them were planning on voting for Trump. The last few days of egotistical minutia barrages by the Donald have made almost everyone question their vote. We all agree that Hillary would be the most criminal President in history. We just want a judicious conservative President with a moral conscience. The ultimate strategy by the dems might actually work. To make the American populace so angry and repulsed we would snatch at the first emotionally satisfying candidate. No, we couldn’t have someone like Scott Thompson or Mike Huckabee, we had to have an egotistical hubris-laden possible psychopath with delusions of grandeur!
