Family Feuding about Trump vs. Hillary
americanthinker.com ^ | 8/2/2016 | Lloyd Marcus

I was excited that I had finally convinced my black family who usually votes Democrat to join the Trump Train. Then, one of my brothers said recent comments Hillary made about Trump's huge ego concerned him. A Christian, my brother quoted scripture concerning Trump, “Pride goes before a fall.” He was considering jumping off the Trump Train.

Hillary, the queen of deception, attacking Trump's character angered me. I fired back at my brother. “Trump may be full of pride, but the guy never left Americans to die for political gain!” I continued my rant about Hillary.

After hanging up the phone from my brother, I wrote the following note in case other family members were falling prey to Hillary and mainstream media's attacks on Trump. Because the media protects Hillary and underreports her lies and scandals, it is amazing how little they know about the woman who is running for the highest office in the land. Thus, I tried to explain everything in simple, nonpolitical geek, easy to understand language.

Thanks Lloyd. Hopefully when (s)election day rolls around they will remember your words and not revert to their old ways of pulling the lever for hildabama and other demoncRATS on the ticket in their area.

The Lord is working on the Donald. He’s not finished yet. It’s going to be OK.

If “pride goes before the fall”, why would anyone switch from Trump to hillary? hillary’s is a false pride, one based on things she’s failed miserably at and thinking of them as accomplishments. Trump’s accomplishments are positive, and his love of family and nation are real.

Because Hillary! is a Hollywood production, all glitz and glamour - a Potemkin village shiny and glittery.

Anyone with the gumption to peek behind the façade will see what we see: filth, stench, and decay.

Will enough people be fooled by November?

The very idea Clinton could be president is shocking. Trump is in the mold of many of our favorite presidents. His business acumen and deep commitment to our way of life and Constitution make him remarkably well equipped to handle the toughest job on earth. Hillary, not so much.

Hell, the fact that she’s even allowed to run is disgraceful. Yet, there she is.

All very true. The problem is that Free Republic can often become a bit of an echo chamber where people express shock and utter disbelief at the things the DemocRATs are doing in their attacks at Trump. Post after post mock these seemingly "ridiculous" attempts (the latest being Scarborough questioning Trump's mental health).

We all sit and submit posts at how utterly stupid these attempts are. Meanwhile, the low-information-voters absorb these little tidbits. Like rust on a fine automobile, the sheen fades on Trump's campaign, and the Hollywood production that is Hillary! glows ever brighter to the voters who don't pay much attention.

Let's not be fooled: this is going on, and it may be successful.

That’s an often misquoted “scripture.”
The correct quote is (KJV Proverbs 16:18)
“Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.”

So, pride does NOT go before a fall. And Hillary sure has a haughty spirit.

Your brother would be well served to read the rest of Proverbs and studey the hundreds which deal with "the wicked".

If he does, he's see a picture painted loud and clear of moral character like Hillary's.

not just that but, I feel that Trump’s Pride is what Jesus talked about ‘The Lust of the Eyes, Lust of the Flesh, the Pride of Life’ - all to me stuff that CAN be brought low.

Hillary, on the other hand, to me, is like the Pride of Lucifer - setting herself as something of an unstoppable God-like figure - kind of like Obama. THAT Pride is much deeper and is mostly unredeemable. Thus she is wicked.

Hillary is completely amoral. She has fallen already. Am praying for Trump to have wisdom to guide the nation, because he has more integrity than most leaders we have seen in decades. He has pridefulness, but so have all of our presidents in my lifetime.
