The very idea Clinton could be president is shocking. Trump is in the mold of many of our favorite presidents. His business acumen and deep commitment to our way of life and Constitution make him remarkably well equipped to handle the toughest job on earth. Hillary, not so much.

Hell, the fact that she’s even allowed to run is disgraceful. Yet, there she is.

All very true. The problem is that Free Republic can often become a bit of an echo chamber where people express shock and utter disbelief at the things the DemocRATs are doing in their attacks at Trump. Post after post mock these seemingly "ridiculous" attempts (the latest being Scarborough questioning Trump's mental health).

We all sit and submit posts at how utterly stupid these attempts are. Meanwhile, the low-information-voters absorb these little tidbits. Like rust on a fine automobile, the sheen fades on Trump's campaign, and the Hollywood production that is Hillary! glows ever brighter to the voters who don't pay much attention.

Let's not be fooled: this is going on, and it may be successful.
