While all eyes are on Russia, I believe the recent Wikileak dump of DNC emails originated from Mossad (Israeli National Intelligence Agency). It was not that long ago when Obama sent a team of campaign hacks to Israel to topple Netanyahu in the Israeli elections. Payback is hell.
Moreover, surely Israel prefers Trump instead of Clinton, who would represent Obama's third term and a contiuation of the anti Israeli foreign policy she established as Sec of State.
I don’t care if it was Barney the Dinosaur. The fact her email was unsecured and hacked at all is THE issue, no matter the content.
The DNC emails were not hacked, they were leaked. Someone on the inside gave them to WikiLeaks.
Would that be former DNC employee, seth rich (RIP) who was arkancided a week or two ago?

1) Hillary’s server has already been destroyed - she said so (and on THAT issue, I believe her). Thus, no one can hack into it, as it no longer exists.
2) The only way that the Russkies would have those emails is if they hacked into them BEFORE Hillary had it destroyed (or if someone simply handed it to them, which is unlikely).
3) If, as Hillary claims, the emails were about yoga, Chelsea’s wedding and communications with her husband (who doesn’t use email, BTW), then there is no reason to be afraid of what the Russkies may or may not have - IS THERE?
1) The Russians, Chinese, North Koreans, Iranians AND Israelis were able to hack into her server, and probably without much difficulty. All had their own reasons for doing so.
2) There may (and probably are) others who also hacked into her computer - from plain old hackers to terrorist groups. Again, all had their own reasons for doing so.
3) I don’t believe that the Russians fed this to Wikileaks - they’d lose a LOT of potential leverage against her, plus reveal all that they know. That would be TERRIBLE statecraft, and HORRENDOUSLY TERRIBLE spycraft. Hillary has more chance of jumping up and touching that flag that Neil Armstrong planted on Mars :>) than there is of the Russians having released them.
4) The Israelis might have done so - they certainly have a motive. Notice that it happens shortly after Kaine was nominated. Kaine is very friendly with the anti-Israeli “J Street” crowd, has made kind noises about a Palie state, etc. - IOW, he is very far from being a friend of Israel. Hillary is sick, so her VP is likely to succeed her - and just after the world found out that it was Kaine, they decided “EFF IT, release the emails” because they view themselves as against a wall. Obama is going to have us vote for a UN Security Council resolution in November (after the election, of course), and I’m sure that this will not be all that is coming their way...even before Hillary. You may be right about Israel.
5) Other possibilities are: Guccifer2 (just as claimed), a very disgruntled DNC staffer or a very disgruntled FBI agent. Each would have their own reasons (mostly hating the idea of Hillary being POTUS), and each is plausible.

it would be wonderful if it were Mossad paying Obama/Hilliary back, and it surely could be Russia doing same...
but I still think it is an inside job right here in USA
... specuatling about foreign operatives overlooks the stark reality that Hilliary has stepped on or hurt SO MANY people right here in America
plus, I think Mossad or Russia would withhold damning evidence against her until such time as she, perhaps, re-occupied the White House... that way they could hope to influence (or at least RESTRAIN) her evil inclinations

I think you’re exactly right. It was a leak from the inside. It doesn’t just target Hillary, it targets the DNC and their corrupt duplicity. It was an inside job.
