Carter: Trump 'violates' our founding principles
The Washington Examiner ^ | July 26, 2016 | Gabby Morrongiello

Jimmy Carter ripped Donald Trump in a video address to Democratic delegates Tuesday night by claiming the Republican presidential nominee has "violated some of the most important moral and ethical principles on which our nation was founded."

The 39th president predicted this election will affect Americans "for generations" and praised Hillary Clinton as the ideal candidate to be competing against Trump.

Jimmah Carter was a nuclear propulsion officer out of Annapolis. Whoop ti-doo.

As POTUS he was in charge of ALL our nuclear submarines, not just one!

In addition, Carter torpedoed the building of an additional nuclear powered aircraft carrier in the 70’s; it was Ronald Reagan who inaugurated the Renaissance of the Navy up to 600 ship strength.

Of course, our Navy has sadly shrunken under Jug Ears.

Watch for Jimmah and Bammie to become a traveling road show of anti-Americanism in 2017. Geez.....

Dunno why this is a problem. I'd be worried if Carter defended Trump.

Does one of those principles include establishing a club of unelected “Elders” who think they can make decisions for the peons? FU Jimmy.

Trump is a throwback to what the founding fathers envisioned: a citizen, not a bureaucrat, not a life-long politician, but a private citizen running for office who has pledged his life, his fortune and his sacred honor to serve America.

When he does die, how will we know? As a rat, he’ll keep on voting for centuries.

Guess numbnuts Carter has been asleep over the last 7.5 years of the Obama administration. Obama not only has violated our founding principles, he can’t even tell you what they are.

Jimmy Carter...the same guy who went to the Soviets in both 1980 and 1984, asking for their help to defeat Ronald Reagan. IOW, he went to our worst enemy and asked their help to thwart the will of the American People.

Not only all that, but a man with enough personal wealth to not be tempted by the venal tempations of which Hitlery simply can not get enough.

I simply can't imagine Trump ever selling us or the nation out for, well, anything.

The thing I may admire most about the guy is that, while he may not have spent much time actually laying block, framing stuff, or wiring it up, those seem to be the guys he's most fond of and helpful toward.

Though on a massively smaller scale, I'm familiar with the hard work of generaling a construction project.
He might've worn a white hat most of the time, but all those buildings speak to an ungodly number of hours and some truly world-class dedication.

It’s So cute when liberals start dragging the founding fathers into things.

Very uncomfortable comment there...

Maybe careful we don’t start sounding like liberals?

Which principles are you speaking of, Mr. Carter?

The principle of not aborting our young and selling their body parts?

The principle of not pushing homosexuality and gays in the military?

The principle of not taking away from the people of the right to defend themselves with a firearm?

The principle of not importing the dregs of other countries who couldn’t make it there so they decided to come here and pollute our culture?

Which of these and other principles of our founding fathers are you accusing Donald Trump of violating?

I had voted for Carter in the 1970’s. - Then things got
BAD, BAD, BAD, DARK, DARK, DARK, Unemployment, Gas Lines,
you name it, he “fixed” it-IN REVERSE!!! Then, I voted
for REAGAN and have NEVER looked back!

I think that Carter is another one who has been weighed in
the balances, and has been found to be a HYPOCRITE!!!

Since he surely speaks foreign languages AND “knows” the
Bible:

MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN

Once again, he arises from the coffin and oozes more verbal effluvia. Maybe he can revisit Venezuela and remind the country that Chavez and Maduro are also the best qualified to run that country, the way he did while “certifying” their elections.

I apologize if I offended. It was a quote from a horror movie but you are right, it’s not nice.

Have a good one

Ciao!
