No American flags visible at DNC on Day 1

Patriotism took a back seat to racial grievances last night at the Democratic National Convention, as no American flags were visibly present at an event dedicated to picking a political leader for the United States of America. Alex Pfeifer of the Daily Caller was among those who noticed:
The Daily Caller is at the Democratic National Convention and it doesn’t look like there are any American flags.
The stage is bland and grey, with no red, white or blue present. A thorough look at the crowd present also turns up no American flags.

Palestinian flags were seen but no American flags.
I saw one Puerto Rican flag ... which always makes me angry (but not specifically at PR).
If the country you left is so friggin' great, WTH did you leave it?
