Hillary Clinton has no such effort on her part. The people supporting Hillary Clinton are mostly supporting her because she is not Trump.

I have been saying this for quite a while, and I am not the only one: the election is all about Trump. Those who support him will vote for him. Those who oppose him will vote for one of the three others (HRC, Johnson, Stein). No one outside of the Clinton family (in both senses of the term) is voting for Hillary.

This has been known since last summer. Trump has millions of ordinary people who will come out to vote for him no matter what. This is a different dynamic from previous elections where people were generally lukewarm about Republican nominees like Mitt Romney, John McCain, GW Bush and Bob Dole. Bush himself came only within a few thousand votes in Florida of losing as well.

Mercer was a big Cruz supporter but from what I've read, Mercer gave up on Cruz after Cruz'a speech at the RNC.

I've also read where Mercer has ties to Glenn Beck. I wonder if Beck will now endorse Trump. I don't care about Beck or his opinions but it will be interesting to see if Beck flip flops on Trump now.
