Donald Trump comes out of his convention ahead of Hillary Clinton in the race for the White House, topping her 44% to 39% in a four-way matchup including Gary Johnson (9%) and Jill Stein (3%) and by three points in a two-way head-to-head, 48% to 45%. That latter finding represents a 6-point convention bounce for Trump, which are traditionally measured in two-way matchups.

Wait’ll we hear about Hillary’s bounce after this week’s extravaganza!

We’ll hear about it, whether there really is one, or not...

Funny, Trump lead increases with the Libertarian running. Or is it because of Stein?

“Trump’s newfound lead is also boosted by a sharp increase in support from whites without college degrees. In the new poll they break 62% for Trump to 23% for Clinton, while whites who hold at least a bachelor’s degree have actually tilted more pro-Clinton since the convention (from a 40% to 40%...”

WOW! 62/23 for whites without college degrees. Let that sink in for a bit. Thats mean a number of things:

1) (white) WOMEN are included in that number - obviously huge numbers love Trump. So much for that meme.
2) Gays are included in that number - probably not as prevalent in this group, but obviously there are some.
3) Very poor whites are included in that number, including those on welfare. They still love this country and want it to be great again.

Whites without college degrees are the people competing HEAD-TO-HEAD with globalism - TODAY. They are the ones having their factories shut down, and having Illegals taking the remaining jobs available to them.

TRUMP HAS THEM, and will hold them. That is his base and that is likely the strongest that a largest class of white voters has ever favored any political party.

Now it’s time to move out from there. It’s time to reach the pointy-heads. It’s time to explain the demographic implications of Open Borders - the fact that their kids will NEVER get to see the same country they grew up in. It’s time to explain the fact that their kids and grandkids may very well be living in a CORRUPT, THIRD WORLD COUNTRY in a generation - where the only people that ‘make it’ are those that bribe government officials and those those that receive the bribes. Everyone else is locked into a PATHETIC SUBSISTENCE lifestyle, where you wait in line to buy bread and everything else you need to live...if it’s even available.

The pointy-heads think their vaunted ‘education’ will insulate them - it will not, it just delays things a few years. The flow-down from Globalism has clearly reached the working class - given the numbers above. There is NO WAY to stop it from reaching people above that level. It’s coming, and it will be here with the next election, if Trump loses.

...and remember, WHITES ARE (still) 70% OF THE VOTING ELECTORATE.

Possibly as high as 76% depending on what data you’re looking at. If Trump gets 70% of the white vote this will be the biggest landslide in history. And, as it is, normalized to 100%, Trump is already over 70% of white, working class, voters. He just needs the pointy-heads now.

CNN would have done themselves and the Democrats a huge favor if they had left out this breakdown - it gives Trump the final piece of the puzzle to end this nightmare, once and for all.;

So are college educated, ever heard of H-1b?

It’s a 5 point lead without the other two in the race, and a 3 point lead in a head-to-head matchup.

Stein only accounts for 3 points total. It’s hard to see Stein making the difference, when Johnson gets a full 7 points.

That must mean (and it is what I have suspected all along) that libertarians pull more votes from disaffected dems than from disaffected Rs.

You’d think so - but not enough of them, yet. Even though we read many personal accounts here, H-1b’s are still much smaller in comparison than the flood of immigrants taking working class jobs (both legal and illegal).

165,000 H-1b per year targeted at just a few professions is pretty damn high. It is a huge problem. That is 1.6 M over 10 years.

you can’t spell “libertarian” without “lib.” They’re pro-homo, pro-dope, pro everything against our values on the social front, and today’s young liberals are social Marxists because of their college “degrees.”

That’s the NR/WeaklyStandard Nevertrumpers. If Johnson is allowed as a choice, they’ll pick him. Otherwise, they’ll vote for $hillary.

But if Cruz had gotten his way, that number would be much higher.

I’m still processing the above, and have one other observation:

These people, working class whites, were THE DEMOCRAT BASE until no more than a generation ago - until then, it would have been the Democrats with the 62%. The Dems left them for minorities and other special interest groups, and THEY WERE UP FOR GRABS.

The IDIOTS that run the Republican Party were TOO STUPID to figure this out and kept trying to fight for Democrat special interests, rather than grabbing these people. While their numbers are proportionally less now than in the past (in the past they were likely over 50% of the electorate, now around 35%), they are still HUGE NUMBERS - and Romney sent them packing with his 47% remark. Trump definitely will not do that - once Trump reaches people, they stay with him, as the Dems will learn when their post-convention non-bounce polling takes place in a week.

On real clear politics, the last cnn poll was Clinton +7, so a two-way head-to-head of Trump +3, should make it +10. I am not sure why the article says +6. Am I missing something?

How true. This is why this year’s election will be very important. Otherwise, other than for what you have explained, another possible direction the USA could end up in is a possible violent revolt.
