Yes he is. Either that he was engaging in massive hyperbole just to get the reporter’s goat. I wonder if he said something supporting deporting illegal immigrants and then got hit by the reporter with “Why do you support Trump’s racist views. Are you a White Supremacist?” And then gave the reporter what he wanted and more.

I did a search for the word “Europeanists” it is associated with those who take part in “European Studies” These studies explore the state of contemporary Europe both from a political and social point of view. No doubt questions about how immigrants (legal or not) are changing Europe and the best response to these changes come up for discussion. In the mind of the Left anything less than full acceptance of these changes is evidence of racism. Wonder if one of the reactions to an influx of illegal immigrants is to reject Europe’s social welfare state-racist. Ask if labor policies lead to an employment ghetto for some groups-racist. Support assimilation into existing cultural norms-racist.
European = racist. See how easy that is.
