Perfectly legitimate. When I adopted my daughter, her birth certificate was altered to show me as her birth father, she was born some 3 years before I met her mother.

First place, I don't see a date in the article--it says more than a year before Senior went to Hawaii. Senior went to Hawaii in the fall of 1959 which would put the date into 1958.
That doesn't foot with either the age of Barry in the White House or of the son depicted as the dark boy with Ruth and Senior in Kenya in 1965 or for that matter the picture of the older version of the dark boy with Senior depicted in the picture on Sara's wall.
So one will want to see exactly what the birth certificate does say.
The continuing thesis has been that there was a Barrack H. Obama Jr. born in Kenya to Senior and Julianna (the Anna Tout of Senior's letters to the village). His name was given to a second boy born elsewhere, also outside the US.
Whatever the ultimate outcome, the result is now not likely to be a Constitutional Crisis in the sense of control of the Government. The expectation is that a real investigation of the facts will disclose that the occupant of the White House known as Barry is not the true Barack H. Obama and that he was born elsewhere under circumstances where he was not a US Citizen as a result of his birth, whoever he is and whoever his parents were.
Eligibility to hold a public office is different that errors in procedure, elections, ballot counting, etc. in that a person who is not eligible to hold an office does not in fact exercise the office--his acts are void.
Thus we have a wide range of actions by Barry to look at--the two most obvious are the two Supreme Court appointments which require an actual "President" to make. There are some others.

Obama, by his own words, has a father who is not an American. He was never qualified under the natural born clause. Divided loyalties at birth.

I’m not sure about this “new release” but I am sure Obummer hasn’t been straight with us about his history. There are too many questions and loose ends for this story to be considered settled in any way.
There are dozens of anomalies and disagreements in just the things we do know about him. No telling what information is still hidden away, from his college records and Social Security number to his Indonesian “citizenship” that really wasn’t.
Some of us saw this crap and rejected him before the 2008 election and we’re still not satisfied. The birth certificate is just one of many, many questions that remain unanswered. Once he leaves office, I expect lots of turds will float to the surface.

Hawaii was known to be *flexible* in issuing birth certificates to Americans retiring from points further out in the Pacific in those days. I'll bet the newspaper birth announcements were common among people who knew that a birth record was questionable - a little extra "insurance", so to speak.
