Why is it I have a feeling Rush isn’t going to let his love affair with Cruz die? I hope I’m wrong here, but Rush is sending out vibes that trouble me.

I did not like Rush’s vibe/take on the Cruz situation yesterday AT ALL. My red flag was up - he compared Cruz to Churchill at one point and his words seemed like thinly veiled support for Cruz.
I think your feeling might be correct. I will not listen to Rush today if he is giving Trump the old “concern” troll treatment.
I have not entirely trusted Rush lately.
When Rush went “full-throated” on Rubio, I knew he was not the conservative he has portrayed himself to be.
I used to be a daily listener.

I know. I took a few years off and only started listening to him again this year. He’s not the same guy. It’s all BS and evasion and not saying things he SHOULD be saying (like: “I endorse Donald Trump,” for instance). Hell, he even tried to weasel out of Cruz’s sickening betrayal by saying “what’s wrong with saying vote your conscience?” - Uh, huh. Nice try, Rush.
So... yeah. Put him in the box with George Will, Bill Krytol, Mitt Romney and other GOP-e losers. He seems to be one of them in spite of the fact that he spends three hours a day pretending he’s something else.

Logic would demand that Limbaugh could find it within his sometimes devious self to cover for Trump, if he really thinks that.
Trump is, after all, the only thing standing between Hillary and the complete destruction of the country as we have know it.

Limbaugh can parade his purity after Trump is elected and Hillary is sent out to pasture. Until then, Limbaugh can STFU.

I have felt like this for years... simply because there were some things that he just would NOT talk about, even though they were VERY mainstream and “cutting edge”.
I think he is actually on a very long leash that he won’t talk about, and simply attributes it to his own “interest”.

Rush is a declining artifact from the Bush decades. Decades of globalist and neocon overreach, and decline in national security, prosperity, and personal liberty.
Those decades are now REJECTED.

No, you are NOT wrong. He's been VERY uncomfortable with Trump since Day One. But NOT so much with the Presidencies of McCain and Romney respectively if you recall. Moreover, some of that discomfort has to do with the notion that as an Elite himself, he knows he is out of touch with Middle America as well as own punditry.
Trump has ripped the curtains open on a host of fakes.
Rush is trying to pretend that he wants Trump to win. The truth is that he is sabotaging Trump because of the Cruz butthurt.
Rush is too stupid to realize that Cruz will never be President.
Any desire I had to listen to Rush again was removed during the first hour of his show. I will NEVER listen to him again.
Rush could go on a permanent vacation, letting Mark Stein permanently fill in and it would be ok with me.
