You are confusing apples and oranges.
Trump did not attack Cruz’s father by referencing a photo and an article that said he had been seen in the company of Lee Harvey Oswald just before the assassination.
Nor did he attack Cruz’s wife by re-tweeting an unflattering comparison photo of the wives. Despite the attacks on Melania Trump apologized for re-tweeting the photo saying he was angry but he should not have re-tweeted. Ms Cruz inserted herself into the campaign saying that she & Ted were running so her globalism history & Goldman Saks connections were fair game.
Has Cruz appologized for the personal attacks on Melania Trump made on TV by his surrogate on March 8th or by the photos posted by the Cruz Pac a week later, or the fliers passed out by his campaign office suggesting Mrs Trump’s modeling career left he soiled and unfit?
... That right there is why Trump let Cruz speak.
I thought she did great. She should school female politicians on how to speak in front of a mike and how to modulate the voice. She did not go into screech territory ONCE. A lovely-speaking voice along with everything else.

Let me see if I get this straight. One year of effort, and over $150 million spent, and at the end, Ted Cruz went from ‘not a team player’ and ‘unloved by party elites’ to, what, ‘not a team player’ and ‘unloved by party elites’?
Strange, typically we’d say how much a politician changed from what they were before as they campaigned for votes. Ted Cruz was the real deal, he stayed true to who he is, even up to the changed convention speech. I can disagree with someone and still respect them sticking to their guns.

A few minutes ago on Los Angeles morning radio a young incensed Dem caller just accused Ivanka of stealing Chelsea’s speech for next week. This gal was serious — is there a name for an unexpressed as yet speech? OR I guess, plagiarism of the “future”?
Why do many women not get the voice modulation thing? It is easy to learn & practice. Screechers just say, “Hysterical woman here,” to me. You hit the nail on the head!

Kids can’t fake enjoying someone’s company. They are all over Melania & she is not doing it for a photo op, she looks just as delighted to be with them too.
I don’t know why they don’t get it. It may have something to do with personality. Pelosi, Hillary and Warren are fishwives and have fishwife voices. The poet Robert Graves said women like that sounded like auctioneers. Obviously, Ivanka is not any of that. She is young with her entire life ahead of her and obviously centered and happy. Did you notice she had a little giggle on occasion after she finished a paragraph? I thought it was charming.

The point being, Trump never actually said anything derogatory about Heidi and never said Cruz’s father was involved in the JFK assassination. That was all Cruz’s excuse for his dishonorable behavior and people assume that Trump must have actually really insulted Heidi or Cruz’s father - because Ted says so.
Cruz is toast. He should just join the Rats and be done with it. Major RINO that is out JUST FOR HIMSELF. Not a team player for sure.
Trump handled this very well and he WILL NOT FORGET IT.

Look, if you can’t “vote your conscience” and choose the more conservative of the two candidates, and have that be Trump, then we’ve nominated the wrong man. Get a grip. Voting your conscience and voting for Trump should be synonymous. It’s so obvious.
