Thiel urges Republicans to back off 'culture wars

Technology investor Peter Thiel implored Republicans from the convention stage on Thursday against waging "culture wars" on lesbian, gay and transgender communities, mere days after the GOP approved a national platform that defines marriage as between “one man and one woman.” Thiel, who himself is gay, stressed that "every American has a unique identity." He said attempts to require transgender Americans to use particular bathrooms is a "distraction from our real problem." And in a first for a GOP convention, the Facebook board member and PayPal co-founder drew attention to his own sexuality: "I am proud to be gay, I am proud to be a Republican, but most of all, I am proud to be an American," he said.

>>Forgiveness of sin is not the permission to sin coveted by those who covet the body/bride of Christ for their perverted self-fulfilmnent in the spirit of anti-Christ.

I agree. The people who claim LGBT PRIDE will never repent, both for their sinful acts and for their pride. Their pride will not permit them to repent.

But, I’m a sinner too and I commit more sins than I repent and if you only forget to repent for one, then you still die an unrepentant sinner.

Oh so we are not open and tolerant, all the comments and words of a liberal, but you say you are not bothered about homosexuals and their agenda as it doe snot hurt you and then state it should not be forced on people.

Wake up, it is being forced on people, do some research on their agenda.

In the meantime, we have more important issues to focus on.

Let me guess. Money, money, and money.

Arguing over "sodomy", please save it for your home, your church, or at your child's private school.

Nothing like telling people what they may or may not talk about. Further, we objectors to the super essential homosexualism education forced on public school students are required to pay for private school, but the "secular" parents get a free ride if they obey?

The truth you must face is that the hole we find ourselves in was dug by pragmatists, secularists, communists, and moral cowards. No amount of money or prosperity will get us out.

Yes, you are correct. The source of this being Politico should have given everyone else a clue that this story was a lie.

Maybe I’m the only one on this thread but anyway I’m secular and I don’t believe that the government should care about what you do in the privacy of your home. Don’t like public schools for your kids? Send them to a private school that shares your values.

Arguing over “sodomy”, please save it for your home, your church, or at your child’s private school.

You conveniently ignore the judicial forcing of sodomy values on everyone, especially children. It’s mental rape against everyone who isn’t on board with the homo agenda.

As far as “Congratulations, you support sodomy.”

I don’t support sodomy either; but I do not want to live in
a country that imprisons and abuses homosexuals. That was
one of Hitler’s favorite “vices” to punish, along with
Jews, many Christians and other “defective” people who the
Nazis thought cost the “system” money.

Hitlery didn’t punish homos, he surrounded himself with them. Hitler Jugend was nick named “Homo Jugend”. He only used that as an excuse to off his rivals in the night of the long knives.

THe US doesn’t imprison or abuse homos, homos mentally rape the rest of the country and physically rape countless young people, homos are made, not born; by being abused/molested/seduced when young.

Why even bring it up? Are homos killed, tortured, etc in the US? Or do the make policy forcing everyone to kowtow to their increasing demands?

Jeez. There is a middle ground between throwing homos off of roofs, and letting them make policy.

I think there is a different between abortion and same sex marriage though. I agree we should NEVER back off the anti-abortion position, but I don’t think it’s on the same level as that of gay marriage. The abortion battle can be won with the right message.

I cannot get worked up, like some have said on here, between actions of consenting adults in the privacy of their own residences. I also think there is a difference between abortion and same sex marriage. The abortion argument CAN be won. That is a much greater priority and can gain a lot of new voters than the arguments against same sex marriage.

Good grief, it is not happening in their private life, is it. Look at parades, law suits, teaching in schools etc.

It is your view why so many homosexuals are forcing their agenda onto others.

The left started the culture war and are determined to continue it as long as decent, normal people refuse to surrender to them.

Are you saying though that you’d be as appalled if those elements were present but it was just between consenting adults and private? There is a distinction

People can do what ever in their home, but that is not happening is it?

It is being forced onto people who do not agree.

The problem with civil ‘gay marriage’ is that it is used simply as a way to punish those who they know can never accept it. It is the stick they will never have to put down.

And there is nothing wrong in thinking or expressing that normalizing homosexual behavior is bad for society and culture. There’s no hate in thinking that.

It is easy for Thiel to say *we* should ignore the culture war. What about him? Why doesn’t he ignore it? He’s the one pushing it! He’s on the front lines of the assault.

Are you aware that Thiel had plans to open an office in North Carolina that was to employ 400 people? People got upset that the mayor and her friend (a convicted sex offender) pushed her ‘men in the bathroom’ agenda. Thiel immediately decided to move that office out of Charlotte to Cuba!

Four hundred jobs were lost and millions of dollars. Next the NBA pulled an all-star game out of the city. More $$ lost. Punishment for not going along with their alleged ‘distractions’.

Of course Thiel would like people to just accept the constant assaults of these rabid liberals.

And Trump invited this evil person to deliver his warped address on the most important night of the convention.

We did not declare this “culture war”, Peter, it was declared on us. We either fight it, or we concede defeat. That is what you are advocating when you ask us not to fight, you ask us to be defeated and stand idly by while our culture is destroyed.
