Maybe the Trump campaign figured the pandemonium that would erupt over Ted’s speech would finally get the MSM to talk about something other than he wife’s speech.
No, what I saw and heard was that Newt quickly was thinking on his feet because he knows the media better than anyone and what the optics were and what ammunition Cruz had handed them.
That is why Newt is the Brain.
He single handedly removed the stink of Cruz from the hall while making Cruz look smart, which Cruz did not deserve.
But Trump deserved what Newt did, and that is why Newt did it.
