I am reading on the HotAir twitter feed that Cruz’s comments were vetted by the Trump team?
I think someone is dropping the ball like they did on Mrs Trump’s speech.
This is prime time and cant be giving anything to the Lame Stream media that is just waiting to pounce on silly things and blowing them up to epic proportions.
He started off by socking it to “its me its me” Cruz

Pence - “You can’t fake good kids! “
That’s plain and simple and true!
Pence is good, but he makes me feel older. He ticked off a few things about himself and I realized I must be older than he is.
Possibly because they’re angry, as I am, and it’s hard to simmer down and pay attention to what’s going on at the convention.
I wonder, though, if Ted’s abominable behavior tonight could actually HELP Trump in the long run. I mean, Cruz is SO repellent, isn’t it possible that his refusal to endorse Trump would make more people in the center (and center left) actually consider voting for Trump?
Sorry, Mr. Pence. But “The Thin Blue Line” is a line good cops never cross to report bad cops. I know what he meant but it was the wrong phrase.

Yep. The way I see it, Trump kept his word by giving Cruz his slot. Cruz didn't keep his word by refusing to endorse.
The damage is more than that. This sort of speaking slot can be a launching pad to a presidential campaign. The one in the Dem convention in '04 gave us 0bama. Cruz took his launching pad and turned it into a self-absorbed playpen. He'll regret it if ever he figures it out.
