Ha ha, that was one of the worst predictions of all time.

LOL ... yeah. Blew that one, didn't I?

Yes, but we can see from what he’s saying this morning that he was never going to endorse or support Trump.

Cruz’s performance last night was all about 2020. He stayed as long as he could in front of the cameras and lights all for the sake of 2020. His appearance had nothing to do with the 2016 election except possibly he wouldn’t mind seeing the election thrown to Hillary if he thought that would increase his chances in 2020.

There are certain people I will automatically turn off when they appear on TV. Cruz is now one of them. I used to think maybe he was OK. But as of now, I can’t stand the guy, at least as far as his political aspirations or public persona goes. When he talks, his words sound tinny and hollow to me - nothing solid, no ring of authenticity. Last night was no exception.

I just read a short biography on Benedict Arnold. What came through was a fatal flaw that Arnold’s personal ambition was more important than the lofty goals he was supposed to be fighting for. That’s Ted Cruz. Cruz supposedly stands for constitutional freedom but he’s shown me he puts his own political ambition and future first. In that sense, Ted Cruz is a Benedict Arnold as far as I’m concerned.

Someone said Cruz thinks he’s Reagan in 1976. Apparently his dad and apparently Cruz himself, think that Cruz has some sort of Divine Right to become President. I think they’re both nut jobs.

And if you want, I’ll tell you what I REALLY think about Cruz.

:)

Cruz’s copy of Reagan’s ‘76 convention speech must be missing the last line: “We must go forth from here united, determined that what a great general said a few years ago is true: There is no substitute for victory, Mr. President.” I certainly don’t remember Cruz talking about unity or victory in the presidential race. Except for some policy overlap, he is nothing like Reagan at all.

I totally agree about Cruz’s fatal flaw of ambition. And the scariest people are sometimes those who believe that they are specially chosen by God for certain tasks or positions, because too many take it as permission to do absolutely whatever they want since they are in a “righteous” cause.

It’s pretty close to being a certifiable nut job, really. I’ve seen it before and it is not pretty.

Agree with you Jim, it is a combination of disgraceful and pitifully hilarious (in that SMH kinda way).

Someone else posted that if this was all about 2020 (which I do agree with) then teddy running in 2018 means yet another unfulfilled Senate term. Great strategy teddy!

Apart from her “Conservative” appearance and clarity seems she has some problems with dating Rat men, hmmm, sigh.

However, she gave the Knee-Pad Media a broadside salvo that sent the ball out of the park, LOL !!!

Here is what I believe. Fredo just trumped himself.

Cruz is about to enter into his future. He can look forward to being shunned in the US Senate, like never before, this time with the public backing it, given no chairmanships, and doubtless he will be primaried in Texas, for his senate seat.

He can look forward to being treated like TRUMP has been treated. Totally alone, despised by all media but for a handful, by both parties, and wholly rejected by donors galore. But, with none of the grace and charisma of TRUMP, he won’t come out on top, but fall from grace and over the cliff.

Cruz sat on upwards of 90 million dollars, poured in by Wall Street globalists and has a buff professional team left over. He will run again for prez on that machine of his. But, next time he will not have the stream lined path to the nomination he thought he had this year. All that money, all that ground game, all that team, and he got creamed.

Now he has even shrunk his voter base by at least 60% all by himself. He never collected all the Evangelicals he thought he bagged. And, with a good shunning, it will shrink some more.

Next time, he will be despised by voters as well as donors who hopefully will be energized across the nation to fuel his opponents at his every turn. Grassroots, like me, will work for his opponent. The media will ride him out of town, including Texas media, in Dallas and Houston and Austin and San Antonio.

Cruz calculated that he had this 2016 nomination either in the bag, or Jeb would win and find a spot for him to run again, in 2020.

Cruz is too narcissistic to even internalize what the hell he has done to himself.

From a previous exchange...

[Cruz thinks he has] permission to do absolutely whatever they want since they are in a “righteous” cause.

My answer: It’s pretty close to being a certifiable nut job, really. I’ve seen it before and it is not pretty.

I wish we could orchestrate a recall on Cruz. I despise him. CNN is crap for having him on to taint another night of our convention... So annoyed.😡

I might watch Cruz. I expect a public melt down at some point.

I also would like to contact his donors and Addleson in Vegas, to find someone to primary him right out of Texas.

TRUMP will probably take care of that for me. LOL!

“Cruz is too narcissistic to even internalize what the hell he has done to himself.”

That about sums it up.

You’ve got to be pathologically narcissistic to do what Ted did last night, then turn around and double down on it the very next day.

As I commented on another thread, he helped no one but Hillary with that divisive speech.

Get out, Ted, and never come back.

<< We need to find those donors who nearly assaulted him after the speech.
That story is going to get some cover, and perhaps they will help us defeat the snake, when he comes up, in TEXAS.
I can not think who I wouldn’t vote for, to avoid voting again, EVER, for this creepy Cruz.
We need to call Dan Patrick, or what? Ken Paxton? Thornberry? Gomert? ANYBODY.. >>

I heard George P Bush’s name floated around as someone who may challenge him in the primary. You know, the guy who’s trying to give away the Alamo to a foreign country.

Too bad Texas doesn’t have a write-in option. I’d just have to skip that one and leave it blank. Ugh.

I don’t want to think about another Bush, but I do hate to be mean to young George Preston Bush, otoh, just because he is a “Bush”. You know what I mean?

He has been loyal to TEXAS and to making a career here from the beginning, and was educated here.

Dan Patrick is another not-a-Bush, fine conservative, not known as a serpentine political climber, contrary to the methods of Cruz.

Well I wasn’t arguing he didn’t deserve the reaction - what was unfortunate is that it allowed the press to make a huge story out of it and make that the story of the night vs. covering Pence’s speech.
