[The REAL headline:]
Schools left out on construction funding, dollars FAR LESS less than many expected
In some circles, it's the windfall that wasn't.
it has not been the cash cow thousands of Coloradans had expected.

I do not believe that alcoholism is a disease. I do believe alcohol is addictive, because it is, but the way to not get addicted to alcohol is to not use it.
I also believe that it does seem to run genetically, but not always.
My dad was an alcoholic, total drunk, but I do not drink at all, except for a single top shelf margarita on my birthday, but then that’s all. I love the taste of that drink, but I don’t like the way alcohol makes me feel, so I do not seek to get drunk.
My brother’s dad, my step dad, was a rip roaring violent drunk, and my brother is also a chronic alcoholic, but he isn’t violent that I know of.
But at some point, it does seem that you can drink yourself into such a state that you are disabled or even diseased, I suppose.
Look at this guy, Jim. This story just blows my mind.

I hate to spoil the end of the story, but this young man died at the age of 28 because his organs failed as a result of chronic alcohol abuse, and he died in rehab.
“I didnt vote for it for the tax revenues.”
yeah, but lots of people DID vote for it for that reason because they stupidly believed the propaganda about what a wonderful revenue source it would bring to Colorado.
It’s a pretty new industry. I wouldn’t make any conclusions about its success or failure at this early stage. The savings in wasted law enforcement expenditures is more than worth it.
I believe in 2017 or 2018 the Congress will pass, and the POTUS will sign a bill devolving Marijuana back to the states.
Usually the leftists come up with a big number then spend it all before the money starts “pouring” in.
Typical modus operandi for those freaks.
Of course always with “unexpected” results...
Same here, the stoners are half dead or very diminished from high school.
Life extinguished or suspended from progress.
I think your being deliberately stupid.
I don’t even know what you’re talking about.
I think I’ve made myself pretty clear in this thread.
Perhaps you are the one being deliberately stupid.
That was my point.
Great.
I want to thank you for our pointless conversation.
It was great talking with you about whatever.
Let’s not do it again sometime real soon.
What you said.
If you bother to look at the questions I asked and your deliberate misinterpretation of same over and over you’ll understand why I’m in agreement.
Some of the explanations by other posters up thread of the long term effects of MJ does explain how that misinterpretation may have happened.
All I recall you asking me about was my thoughts on abortion laws, which really doesn’t matter in a thread about marijuana.
It was right around that time that our conversation became pointless, because you purposely steered it in that direction.
I don’t really care about the long term effects of marijuana. That is for people who choose to smoke it to worry about. Adults are free to make such decisions.
Do you know what the long term effect of life is?
Death.
Maybe we should make life illegal.
The fault is mine, I should have first read more of your postings to realize that you would be unable to grasp the connection.
You can think of me as stupid if that is what elevates you.
I don’t really care.
That's called being a Progressive.
Trump has said legalization should be decided state-by-state.
Isn't that more in keeping with the Tenth Amendment than having fedgov dictate?
“I see there are some people who still insist on trashing the Tenth Amendment and siding with fed power grabs. That’s called being a Progressive.”
And I see Free Republic is still infested with dope heads.
A return to a strictly Constitutional form of federal government will automatically repeal and abolish all unconstitutional federal involvement in states issues such as: crime, health, education, welfare and the environment.
The Tenth Amendment will again be in effect, which will bar all federal attempts at legislating social issues.
-Jim Robinson
ROTFLOL!
A constitutional pothead!
So which do you think should decide the issue, states or feds?
