Christie Reportedly 'Livid' He Wasn't Chosen as Trump's VP

Prior to announcing Gov. Mike Pence as his running mate, presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump had narrowed the VP field down to the Indiana governor, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, and Gov. Chris Christie.

While Gingrich seems to have been a good sport about Trump’s ultimate decision to go with Pence, according to the Weekly Standard, Christie was “livid.”

While minding my own business at the Starbucks inside the Westin hotel this morning, I saw a man engage Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort in conversation about the VP selection process. The man, whom I couldn't identify, suggested that Pence was a smart pick and Gingrich would've been a disaster.

"Christie was livid, right?" the man said at one point. "Yeah," Manafort replied.

In an interview with MSNBC on Thursday, Christie did say he would be upset if he didn’t end up getting picked.

"I mean, obviously, I'm a competitive person. So I'm not going to say it won't bother me, if I'm not selected. Of course it bothers you a little bit. 'Cause if you're a competitive person, like I am, and you're used to winning, like I am — again, you don't like coming in second, ever," the governor told Nicolle Wallace.

Exactly.

Christie for AG. He’s got the balls to jail the Clinton cabal.

If that’s true then he is unfit for office.

We need Chris as AG.

If the story is true and he's livid about being passed over for VP then why would Christie take Attorney General? He has to know his political career is over so why not go to some New York or Washington D.C. law firm, be a partner, and take the big bucks? Attorney General is a road to nowhere.

Why do you post a blog report of someone else’s news item?

Source article of your blog/bog piece.

He is highly assailable on irrelevant grounds; so is Newt. Those are the very grounds (irrelevant ones) the libs always use to defeat otherwise strong candidates. It’s called “baggage”. God forbid we should be bumped from our flight to the White House because of baggage.

And? That clown said he’d be willing to start WWIII over Syria. He has no judgment and shouldn’t be in charge of anything.

Americans don’t want a muslim judge-appointing, gun-grabbing Vice President, Mr. Christie.

Clinton has more baggage than a cruise ship and she is running for President.

Christie lost my respect as a conservative, especially one who is willing to fight for what’s right, when he played nursemaid to Obama when he came to Christie’s state a few years ago and he bowed to the king while he was there.

Don't lose heart, Krispy. There's still a chance you could be Hillary's running mate.

If only a hurricane would roll in.

From a pure logic view, Christie brings nothing to the table other than a great deal of passion.
Trump needed to balance the ticket with someone NOT from the NE.
He also needed to address the damage Cruz did to the base.
