Hollywood has long been viewed as a force in the battle for social justice.
But the police killings of two black men in Louisiana and Minnesota and the subsequent murder of five police officers in Dallas last week is forcing some in the entertainment industry to take a hard look at their role in the nations growing racial tensions.
It has to change, Mad Men creator Matthew Weiner, whose show routinely tackled social issues in the 1960s, told TheWrap. I dont feel like race has ever been so on the forefront of the conversation until now, adding that Black Lives Matter is an important social movement.

And whatever sponsor finances that show will have the wrath of a nation hurl down upon them
The only way Hollywierd will “get real” about racism is when it reveals that Black Lives Matter itself is racist.
Mad Men contained paid propaganda political messaging. It’s Hollywood’s dirty little secret, they accept cash from liberal groups to put tilted political advocacy in programming.
Obama even did it for HUAC (Hussein’s Un-Affordable Care act).

Hollyweirders are the king and queen of virtue signaling, and anyone who takes any of them seriously is woefully short of brain power. That also goes for the totally anonymous white Social Justice Whiners out there, who think that living in an all white suburb and then holding a Black Lives Matter sign elevates them above everyone else.
Black Lives Matter is causing me a problem.
I keep calling it “Black Like Me” because I sincerely have a mental block against the real words. (I’m not black either)
My family is ready to kill me because they think I’m doing it on purpose.
And gets real about black crime
Bark bark meow meow dance with me purple cow.
The fags and liberals running Hollywierd can do what they want, I do not pay for their crap.
I guess they want to lose money.
I won’t read it, the headline tells me everything I need to know will be in the article: Liberal white guilt. More disguising of black crime and crime stats by hollywood and the media. More affirmative action in Hollywood, more “black films” that no one watches. More liberal themes attacking white cops and canonizing blacks. Knuckling under. Mischaracterizing of BLM, treating it as just another “civil rights” organization.
Thanks ES!
“Black Lives Matter forces Hollywood to get real about racism”
bummer!
I’d rather Hollywood be truthful about racism, among other things.
Hollyweird seems to know the low-information, lowest common denominator types are the last adult audience remaining to them. I’ve seen the same thing on TV; there seems to be a realization that People That Matter are turning on a computer after supper instead of a TV.
Every once in a while I see daytime TV (on a national holiday, for instance); when you see what our unworking population watches all day (basically the messages they are fed - every day), you realize that there are definitely two Americas that are mutually exclusive.
...adding Black Lives Matter is an important social movement....
BLM, just like the Democrats’ KKK used to be the terrorist arm of the Democrat party.
I watched a “bonus” audio commentary track of a “Mad Men” episode which included scenes of Don Draper visiting an American Legion Hall.
An actual Legion Post permitted the show to be filmed on location and the producer complained that they were told not to tamper with the flags and emblems in the hall. He behaved as if that were unreasonable. Later, he criticized the veterans organization for the reactionary politics of its members in a blanket dismissal of the organization.
This proved to me how out of touch with reality the producer was.
Maybe, but that audience doesn't pay $8 a head to see their movies. They wait to get them at Redbox for $1 for the whole household.
What Hollywood? I thought most stuff was done out of state or in Canada to help the TV hypocrites avoid high taxes.
Hollywood will never tackle Islam and black racism.
Its not politically correct to depict them on the silver screen.
