WRONG! First, you need to learn something about the European Union. Then you need a geography lesson. Then you need to understand what is Continental Europe.
Next, before you make stupid comments, I would suggest you do a little research about the subject you are talking about.
A 3” blade on a pocket knife is ILLEGAL in ENGLAND! About 3% of the Brits have guns. Over 30% of the French own guns( and I am sure that number is too small in reality.)

Found a mention of precautionary destruction of a suspicious package near the truck ...
Arrest of the wife of the jihadist by [routinely] masked policemen.

Nothing about “an explosive-laden truck parked on a highway near Nice.”

Can I please make stupid comments without being subject to any sort education?

If the French do possess firearms, it may be time to start using them, along with everyone else in countries being invaded.

I guess Britain is pretty much screwed, since the muzzies carry whatever they want and do whatever they want.

Listen smartass, I lived in France for years and still own property there. I’ll be in France soon for an extended stay again.
I am a former Regional Champion at Olympic Trap. I have SHELVES full of trophies, both in metal and stuffed. Don’t mess with me about what I KNOW for FACT!
The French Cop which you refer to who was shot was a dispenser of parking tickets, not a “beat” Gendarme. Tell me the police or gendarmes which you see in the airports with sidearms and machine guns are not armed!! What about the ones seen on the streets around the Embassys as well as elsewhere wherever their are large groups of people.
The word “Cop” does not apply in many instances in France as they do not have municipal “cops” as we do here in America, except in rare cases. There are POLICE in places like Paris, but not everywhere in France. Most of France is under the jurisdiction of the Gendarmerie. The GENDARMES live in Casernes and their assigned stations are changed every few years so that they don’t become too friendly with the local populations. It is thought to cut down on possible corruption. Gendarmes are actually a branch of the French Armed Forces. The closest “police station” which is a gendarmerie to my house in France is over 17 kilometers away. By French Law you are supposed to call the gendarmerie if there is a breakin or whatever. It is the same attitude of the police in America. Call the police first.
In the case you cite, EXACTLY as in the GUN FREE ZONES in America, people didn’t carry firearms. What difference is there between the victims in the French nightclub and Orlando????? They were in a GUN FREE ZONE!
Your ignorance is appalling.

Oh so someone is allowed to DENIGRATE an ENTIRE country with ignorant remarks, but I am not allowed to defend that country with facts. Obviously, certain people have thin skins and don’t wish to become EDUCATED! Isn’t that the PROBLEM we have in America now? Too many uneducated people sucking on the government for freebies and whining when they’re called out for spreading FALSE information.

Oh? So how many AK's or AR16's di you own there? How many pistols? Did you walk around outside carrying concealed? I doubt it. As for your 'Gendarme' he was a street cop not that innocent ticket giver you say. In America there are no so-called "Gun Free Zones".

I suggest you might take a course in etiquette which is:

noun 1. conventional requirements as to social behavior; proprieties of conduct as established in any class or community or for any occasion. 2. a prescribed or accepted code of usage in matters of ceremony, as at a court or in official or other formal observances. 3. the code of ethical behavior regarding professional practice or action among the members of a profession in their dealings with each other: medical etiquette.

And as for your living there, I have French relatives who live in Paris in Clichy where I spend some summers so please don't give me your French 'merde' ... Thank you.

Why do you think Hollande’s approval rating is in the TEENS? He will NOT be reelected next year!

NO personal attacks,
..........................................

What do you call “blow that up your dress?” I call it a personal attack. Too bad you have to run for cover when you started it just because you’re shown to be a big blowhard with NO substance.

My observation is the long stretches of farm land where there are occasional vehicles parked alongside the road with the inhabitants standing by the road, cheering on the riders.......

How easy would it be to rig any of those cars with explosives set to detonate when the peloton rides by?

Rather like suggesting a woman lie back and try to enjoy a rape. They’re out of their minds.

The problem with “stupid comments” is that too often others are misinformed by them. Look at the number of people on this thread that believe the French are disarmed, for example.
If you want to make a silly comment, why not follow it with /s and we can all get a chuckle?

It was a reply to your insulting post. Le réalité et toi, vous ne vous entendez pas, n’est-ce pas? La police, ne t’a pas encore trouvé? Come back when you’re more coherent.

Your so called credentials are very very tiny compared to mine. I would advise you to educate yourself and get off your anti-France bandstand.

If they did it out somewhere in remote French Polynesia they might get the opportunity to sink another Green Peace ship.

You can run out of names for me and it will still not give you any credence in your ill-informed statements. You spent a few summers in Paris, so what!!! I lived in Paris three years before I moved south. Don’t try to get smart with me or give me orders. You can’t back up merde!

Give me one good reason. France has crapped on the US ever since we pulled her ashes out of German occupation. The country outside Paris is nice, the people are nice. It’s the politicians who have done it to France and the US. And as for your credentials, I do not know what they are or whether I’d believe them if you trotted them out. France should get off their anti-America bandstand first which went way back to Charles de Gaulle.
