Turkey's last hope dies
By Ralph Peters Published July 16, 2016

Friday night’s failed coup was Turkey’s last hope to stop the Islamization of its government and the degradation of its society. Reflexively, Western leaders rushed to condemn a coup attempt they refused to understand. Their reward will be a toxic Islamist regime at the gates of Europe.

Our leaders no longer do their basic homework. The media relies on experts-by-Wikipedia. Except for PC platitudes, our schools ignore the world beyond our shores. Deluged with unreliable information, citizens succumb to the new superstitions of the digital age.

So a great country is destroyed by Islamist hardliners before our eyes—and our president praises its “democracy.”

A lucid opinion of what's to come.

Erdogan will use the coup as an excuse to accelerate the Islamization of his country and to lead Turkey deeper into the darkness engulfing the Muslim world. His vision is one of a neo-Ottoman megalomaniac.

The Sick Man Of Europe survives but following will it survive financially where tourism is where they get most of their income from. Russian tourism has fallen as well as many Europeans don’t go there. To extend, the mussies are killing economies where ever they are.

Fake coup?

Is it possible Erdogan was behind this ‘failed’ coup...conning disloyal elements in the government to reveal themselves, crush them and take total control with no effective opposition?

Already reports of Erdogan supporters attacking Kurdish Party offices around country. You can always count on Obama and Merkel to back the wrong side. The turning point occurred when Obama publicly supported Erdogan. Same basic thing he did in Iran. The noble war prize winner strikes again.

I heard one opinion giver suggest that Erdogan may have set up a plan to see who would bite so he can have his own night of the generals

He wasn’t watching Kurds die, he was killing them. Almost all of the airstrikes and artillery fire from the Turks has targeted Kurds, not ISIS.

Seems the Turkish people were in support of the wrong faction in this one. The news was indicating the people sided with Erdogan.

It seems it was all over when the opposition general was killed. Without the people, and the primary leadership dead the resulting defeat should have been expected.

Amen, educated Turkish women not wanting Islamization of government would be the last hope. Future generations would not be allowed more than a sixth grade education, rights or driving privileges.

"Turkish soldier 'beheaded by pro-government mob on Istanbul's Bosphorus Bridge' after failed coup attempt

A Turkish soldier has reportedly been beheaded on Istanbul's Bosphorus Bridge by a pro-government mob.

Graphic video footage and images online show the soldier lying on the ground surrounded by a pool of blood.

He can be seen with horrific injuries after the attack.

He reportedly surrendered after last night's failed coup attempt but was allegedly attacked by pro-government supporters."
