This “vote their conscience” line is a load of ordure that has not been excoriated or laughed at enough yet, in my way of thinking.
The idea that these little twerps can exalt their supposed “conscience” above the will of millions of people, and make out that it makes them more righteous, that they are so pure that they should ignore the rules of the party, just leaves me almost speechless.
