Emerging Republican Platform Goes Far to the Right

It also encourages the teaching of the Bible in public schools because, the amendment said, a good understanding of its contents is “indispensable for the development of an educated citizenry.”

Additional provisions included those that promoted state laws to limit which restrooms transgender people could use, nodded to “conversion therapy” for gays by saying that parents should be free to make medical decisions about their children without interference and stated that “natural marriage” between a man and a woman is most likely to result in offspring who do not become drug-addicted or otherwise damaged.

If you really don’t like the GOP and you really don’t care for right-wing politics then it’s possible you’re on the wrong web forum.

Can’t say I really care too much about what is in either party’s platform. No one follows the platform. It’s probably just an exercise in making a part of the party feel like they are being listened to. BTW, I love your screen name. I’m a drummer and play that song all the time.

Doesn’t take electing Hillary to make it happen. There is already an Arab immersion school as part of the Houston Independent School District - supported by our tax dollars. Democrat mayor, sanctuary city, lots of Muslims.

Thank you for doing that ping. I’m sure there’s a few posts here that will catch JR’s eye and his Zot! button!

The NYT disapproves of the Republican platform. Good, it gives me a chance to clutch these here pearls what I got on Ebay. They're genuine - one of 'em still has the clam attached. Oh, oysters? Uh-oh...

I'm a man of faith, but keeping religion out of school is a good thing.

Keeping GOVERNMENT out of school is a good thing. Compare your local Catholic schools with your local government schools. In most, maybe all, places the Catholic (religious) schools fare far better in the comparison.

There's no need to teach Bible study in public schools.

There's no legitimate justification for government schools to exist. Privatize education: it's far too important to continue letting the government make a hash of it.

“natural marriage” between a man and a woman is most likely to result in offspring who do not become drug-addicted or otherwise damaged.

Faggots pretending to marry won't produce any children at all. The link between broken homes and screwed up children has been demonstrated for decades. Heather does a lot better with her mother and father than with the "two mommies" in the title of the infamous book.

attempts to control the civil liberties of people.

Faggots pretending to marry aren't exercising civil liberties, they're undermining the civil society.

That should clear up your confusion.

Go to Sunday School. My Jewish friend went to Hebrew school. Greek friends to Greek school. All on the weekend. It doesn’t belong in public school

“Go to Sunday School. My Jewish friend went to Hebrew school. Greek friends to Greek school. All on the weekend. It doesn’t belong in public school”

It’s an inseparable part of US history.

And you are, indeed, on the wrong web forum.

Then get rid of evolution, humanism and politics.

And that’s an equally bad result. The beast will make it worse, for certain. It’s Trump or bust. Literally.

This country was founded on Judeo-Christian principles. There’s no reason whatsoever to not teach our children that. The first amendment guarantees the right. The tenth amendment prohibits the feds from meddling in issues reserved to the states, issues like education for example. They also have no say in matters of religion.

Get the feds out of education!

Defend our constitution!

Defend our rights!

For God, family, country, Liberty!!

Go, Trump, GO!!
