Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg needs to drop the political punditry and the name-calling.
Three times in the past week, Justice Ginsburg has publicly discussed her view of the presidential race, in the sharpest terms. In an interview with The Times published Sunday, Justice Ginsburg said, I cant imagine what the country would be with Donald Trump as our president, joking that if her husband were alive, he might have said, Its time for us to move to New Zealand.
Earlier, in an interview with The Associated Press that appeared on Friday, when asked to consider a Trump victory, Justice Ginsburg replied, I dont want to think about that possibility, but if it should be, then everything is up for grabs.
On Monday Justice Ginsburg doubled down, calling Mr. Trump a faker, who has no consistency about him.

What’s up here?? The NYTimes is editorializing this?
They have to be figuring RBG running off at the mouth like this will hurt liberalism.
And especially will hurt Hillary.
Well exactly, why? Normally they would protect her and just edit it out. The cynic in me says they would like her to step down now, create two vacancies and demand dumbass fill them before he’s out.
You’re probably right. Scalia was conservative, so if a conservative POTUS replaces him, the court remains tilted left. Ginsburg is a moonbat, so unless a Leftist replaces her, the balance of the court shifts.
If Ginsburg could be induced to resign, the nonstop drumbeat would be that Obama MUST be permitted to fill one of the two vacancies. It would become so deafening after a while, McConnell would relent, and Obama would get to put another moonbat on the court.
I think the big question here is senility. As far as I am aware, there is no procedure for the involuntary removal of a mentally incapacitated Supreme Court justice. I am guessing that Ginsburg, as virulent a Lefty as she is, would have been too concerned about her own reputation and maintaining the façade of impartiality that she would not have said this ten years ago. So I figure she is a fuzz nuts. At a minimum, the Constitution should be amended to provide for a mandatory retirement age and/or fixed terms for the Supreme Court. I think that would be a popular reform and would pass.
Roberts should reprimand ginsberg for not maintining the remaining dignity of the court.
Not gonna happen. If you believe this you believed Hillihag would have been prosecuted for clearly breaking numerous national security laws.
Liberals of both parties and government are above the law and not bound by any ethical standards. If the election is close in November and the Supreme Court is involved in any way she will not only not recuse herself she will take the lead in pushing for a Klinton win.
The rule of law is dead.
She should be impeached. Sure, this sort of behavior was OK at the time of the founding, but modern standards are different and the Constitution is a living document, right Buzzy?
btt/Amazing
Totally agree.
