I sort of love the way he is doing this. Fun. A bit like a reality TV show. Oh wait.

I’m fine with either. Long term, Pence might be the better choice. Newt would be a helluva lot more fun.

Pence, Christie, Gingrich = all decent enough, all got weaknesses, all better than Flynn

Pence gave a great speech tonight

He did. It was high-energy (Trump likes that) and he didn't say anything that contreadicts Trump's agenda. Three factors in Pences favor....that stereotypical Midwestern family, he doesn't shoot from the lip, and he's a bit younger than Gingrich.

I trust Mr. Trump to make the best choice. We won't get someone perfect; that person doesn't exist.

(well, maybe Jeff Sessions, but how can Trump get the US Senate defumigated without Session there?)

I’d like to see Pence as VP and Gingrich as Chief of Staff. Newt would be a heck of a lot more effective as an attack dog from that position.

I’m aware of Pence’s shortcomings, but I think his experience as governor of a state will shut people on the left up if they complain about Trump’s lack of political experience.

One other thing about Gingrich as VP ... He’d be labeled as being part of the DC insider club ... Pence wouldn’t get that kind of criticism thus keeping Trump’s “DC outsider” image squeaky clean.

Sessions, with him I know the WALL will be built and the illegals will be gone.

With Pence, I see the hands of Koch in the background, Trump wants their money in this race, they’re gamblers.

Seeing that VEEP is better for the campaign, but after the election, kinda worthless. Pence for VEEP. Let Newt be Chief Of Staff. Much better at orchestrating with politicians.

If he picks Newt, it’s all but a given that his entire campaign has been a snowjob with the real intent of coronating Her Heinous.
That’s why I really can’t believe he’ll pick Newt.

It’s clear that no matter who Trump picks there will always be a segment of conservatives that won’t be happy.

Clearly, it is the intelligent segment that understands that Newt is irretrievably damaged on both the Right and the Left. I like to believe Mr. Trump is smart enough to understand that political reality.

I’ll take Gingrich over Pence any day. Watched Pence tonight—no connect, dead, sullen. Not inspiring.
