A neighbor of mine, who once considered himself a Bernie supporter, handed me a copy of the book after I expressed some curiosity and told him that I read some of it online. The book talks about everything from government engineered diseases to extraterrestrial conspiracies, most of which is complete nonsense, but some that also rings eerily accurate in 2016. I'm not willing to do more than brush Cooper's book off as coincidental rubbish which I really think it is but I find myself compelled to share the passages and moments from the book that struck me the most. I'm not a big fan of conspiracy theories, but I do get a little bit excited when some of them hit close to home as a result of pure coincidence. I find myself more fascinated with the accuracies that are accidentally conjured up by a paranoid and possibly insane mind. Discussing Cooper's theories also creates a platform to bring up relevant concerns and realities that are afflicting America's more impoverished communities.
Before we get into the thick of it, it's important to note that Milton William Cooper was a Vietnam War veteran and he did serve in the United States Navy in the 1970s. It is also alleged, but not verified, that he served in the Air Force and worked in Naval intelligence. Cooper was eventually holed up in his Arizona home in 2001, where he was shot after shooting an Arizona deputy in the head following a stand-off.

Satanic garbage.
Feeds Nation of Islam and crazy left wing lunacy as well.
Then I’d better not try to describe my obsession with X Files re-runs that are scaring the SHIT out’a ME !
If you read the article, the author begins by saying much of the book is tripe, but portions are very prescient, written in 1991.
The financial meltdown of 2008, Fast and Furious gun scandal, school mass shootings, all supposedly a government conspiracy...........with the help of some aliens.......
Think about it. Russian suitcase nukes, Hole in the ozone, Avian flu, West nile, In the late 70’s, new ice age, then global warming, then Climate change, Swine flu, Aids, EMP, Mega quakes, rising ocean levels, acid rain...you name it.
When one hysteria ends, another begins almost immediately. I think it is a way to distract citizens....keep’em off kilter.
Garbage in garbage out
With conspiracy theories, which are Satanic, there is always a kernel of truth somewhere. Sometimes a lot of truth.
That’s the case of all the Devil’s lies.
Please elaborate. Are you new to X-files? Just curious.
Nifster’s comment is very good.
Garbage in garbage out
It’s also quite Bibkical.
Of one doesn’t want to believe in God or the Bible, it’s true in a purely biological sense as well.

No longer a conspiracy
As long as you’re paying attention to the crisis you aren’t paying attention to their shenanigans.
I bought that book back when it first came out and still have it. I don’t remember anything satanic about it.
like, wow, man...
I think I'm up to season 4 or something.
MY point was that the conspiracy element Mulder is always trying to prove seems to be the same type of stuff happening in politics today.
I believe there are recent Clinton tragedies and that nothing has changed.
Cooper was not reliable. He reprinted The Protocols of the Elders of Zion in that book.
We know that virtually every word out of government officials is a lie.
Conspiracy theories are nothing more or less than an effort to understand why they lie.
Seen in that light the craziest conspiracy theory is at least an honest effort to learn the truth—and I would rather have a discussion with the kookiest conspiracy theorist than any member of the Executive, Legislative, or Judicial Branch, because at least I can be sure the conspiracy theorist is trying to tell me what they believe to be true.

Agree. The tragedies you mention seem too convenient to be considered natural causes or accidents.
