Micah Xavier Johnson was killed by an explosive device attached to a robot after talks broke down. He was laughing and singing and not at all anxious during the standoff, a source said.
Micah Xavier Johnson, of Mesquite, ambushed officers at a peaceful protest against nationwide police-involved shootings in Dallas on Thursday, police said.
Johnson was laughing and singing and not at all anxious during the standoff at the El Centro College building, a law enforcement source with knowledge of the incident told NBC 5 Investigates senior reporter Scott Friedman.
Johnson told police he had specifically been training for this event and working out in preparation for Thursday night. NBC 5 Investigates has also learned Johnson was wearing a military-style bulletproof vest.

I and my previously WAY favorite nephew have grown apart since his college produced a kid i dont recognize.
I got so mad I put him against a wall two years ago for talking to me like I was an ignorant raciss bigot.
His father (God rest his soul) was a ‘Nam vet and died four years ago. i kind of stepped in. I’ve told him his father would CRY if he knew how he turned out.

Dunno, if true it sounds like they may have expected his arrival. Nobody else (unless elusive accomplices) was inspired to do any killings there, apparently.
They are really pushing the “lone gunman” angle. Makes me think, in addition to earlier reports, that he may have had help.

I remember reading that Mateen was laughing while he murdered those people in the Orlando club. This is what is meant when it is written that muslims revel in death.
A problem for Obama & Co. and their MSM: if the San Bernardino, the Orlando and now Dallas mass murderering muslims are not Islamic extremists, are they ‘mainstream’? They keep telling us not to punish the majority of “peaceful muslims” because of the actions of a few (although this argument doesn’t apply to the 2nd amendment) but they refuse to call these murderers what they are: radical American-hating muslims.
So what are they going to do? Go after radical muslim extremists?
No. They will keep calling for “gun control” until the next massacre by muslim murderers.
Sometimes you just have to let fools blow off steam. The years will tell if he noticed anything to the good. War can do weird things to families as well.
Drugged. Although I doubt if the cops care to drug-test a dead guy like this. I would take a guess if you drug-tested active shooter episodes....a large majority would have something in their system. No one wants to open that door.
Was there any word as to whether Mateen was drug-enhanced? Or was it just don’t ask don’t tell.
