HILLARY EMAIL MESS SHOWS HER FAILURE
boblonsberry.com ^ | 07/05/16 | Bob Lonsberry

Posted on 07/06/2016 5:49:45 AM PDT by shortstop

In our family, a few of us have had security clearances, some still do. We’ve all sat through the briefings, undergone the interviews, signed the papers.

We’ve all understood the obligation.

And so it is that my former father-in-law still can’t talk about most of his Air Force career, I’ve never described some pictures the Army had me take one day, and I’m not really sure what my daughter does for the Army or my daughter-in-law does for the State Department.

We’ve all understood the obligation.

And the privilege.

We were trusted by our government and our country and we did not violate that trust.

So this thing with Hillary makes no sense whatsoever. She wasn’t a tech sergeant or a corporal, she was the secretary of State. She didn’t get drunk and say something in a bar, she violated regulations and common sense and put her entire correspondence in the clutches of people known as “hostile actors.”

And in spite of repeated and angry assurances that none of it had been classified, in fact more than 100 emails were classified – eight of them were Top Secret. And all of them would be helpful to an enemy of our nation spying on America’s most-powerful diplomat.

Her conduct was irresponsible. Her defenses were dishonest.

And her stewardship of the State Department was malfeasant. In regard to her own emails, the FBI found, she and her associates were “extremely careless” in handling information that was “highly sensitive.”

Beyond her own negligence, across the entire department she oversaw the FBI investigation determined that security precautions were “generally lacking.”

By the standard of normal practice, the FBI director said, “None of the emails should have been in an unclassified system.”

Also, the FBI director said, “There is evidence of potential violation of law.”

Let me repeat that for the historic record: “There is evidence of potential violation of law.”

But there will be no charges brought. That’s because the FBI director believes that “no reasonable prosecutor” would bring charges.

Which is one of those interesting areas where the letter of the law is lost in the prerogative of the prosecutor. A law exists, but not a will to enforce it.

The reason being, the FBI man said, that no one had ever been charged under this law under these circumstances.

That’s because these circumstances have never existed before.

Never before has a secretary of State disregarded the policies of her own agency to, repeatedly over years, circumvent good policy and conduct – for reasons of personal political benefit – and jeopardized state secrets as a consequence.

Where much is given, much is required.

And a military person who screwed up like this would be on the way to Leavenworth.

Just like anyone in any part of government who caused a breach like this would be stripped of his security clearance and fired.

If you bounce a check, you lose your security clearance. When you put 110 classified emails in Putin’s in-box, we elect you president?

How can we have a president who can’t even get a security clearance? And who lied about the circumstances of her email? And who has not apologized once for this disruption to our politics or this dispersal of our secrets?

You or I would have faced “security and administrative sanctions.” Hell, we would have been charged.

David Petraeus lost his career and his reputation for letting his girlfriend read his journal, which wasn’t even classified.

But Hillary skates.

While the “news” media argues over the shape of a star on a Trump tweet.

The evening news will call her exonerated.

But the substance of the report calls her incompetent. Incompetent and arrogant and careless and irresponsible.

The FBI director said that anyone at all should have known that it was “not right” to do what Hillary did.

But that won’t make the evening news.

And the odds are that she will be the next president of the United States.

And we will be screwed.

I guess I can still hold out the hope that Guccifer will ride in on his white horse with a box full of 30,000 hacked highly confidential emails detailing how Hillary and Bill scammed all these foreign countries out of billions of dollars of donations to the Clinton Crime Foundation in return for ownership of all our mineral rights in all 50 (57) states. The entertainment value of sitting on my couch listening to Comey justify the sloppy record keeping that led to this inadvertent unpunishable mistake would make it worth the wait. A long wait.

Bob Lonsberry makes an impressive argument regarding trust and responsibility, but it falls on deaf ears with the left. They don’t care. They don’t care that they don’t care. And they bristle with indignation at any thought of making them care.

Leftists are perpetual children who need to firm guidance and close supervision. They cannot be entrusted to go to the bathroom without washing their hands afterward.

One can rub their noses in this and you may humiliate them - for a moment - but leftists are born without a sense of shame so they will never “get it”.

“That’s because the FBI director believes that “no reasonable prosecutor” would bring charges.”

Comey would have been more truthful but not excusably so if he’d said “no one in my position would bring charges”.

He could also have said that he was presenting his department’s findings without giving a recommendation one way or the other.

She's incompetent, except at avoiding prosecution and impeding investigations into her and Bubba's grifting.

It doesn’t show her failure...it shows we’ve submissively allowed to the country to be conquered by criminals.

Setting up the server is enough. It’s not like the server was accidentally set up.

Comey declined to prosecute Hillary, saying no one had
ever been charged under this law under these circumstances.

That’s because these circumstances have never existed before. Never before has a secretary of State disregarded the policies of her own agency to, repeatedly over years, circumvent good policy and conduct – for reasons of personal political benefit – and jeopardized state secrets as a consequence. After Comey’s act of treason re the criminal/traitor Clinton: Any so called friend or relative, who does not vote for Trump will get the treatment, we use with liberals:

Shunning!

Once in awhile a Cherokee (usually a male) would become so wrong-headed and incorrigible as to be labeled a “rogue”. After many tries to make the person reform, if there was not a return to acceptable behavior, he (or she) could be put ‘out’ of the clan.

After that shame, which left them vulnerable to any insult or adverse behavior without recourse, because they would have no claim affiliation and thus no relatives, the ‘rogue’ usually left all villages and lived alone in the woods. Having been made a ‘non-person’ was the ultimate fear of an adult Cherokee, and was the ultimate consequence, just short of being condemned to immediate death.

“Shunning” was the ultimate living insult, and sometimes the shunned person would commit suicide rather than live with such shame.

The article assumes that Hillary failed.

What if this wasn’t a failure but a planned operation?

There are a lot of career State Dept. people who would know better than setting up a easily hacked system.
Baraq Hussein Obama has been destroying institution after institution so who is to say that the State Department is immune?

My theory: Hillary intentionally set up a sloppy system that could be easily hacked in return for large contributions to the Clinton Foundation. She sold intelligence to enrich herself.

She is a high level member of a party that has been radicalized and wants to harm us.

And a military person who screwed up like this would already be on the way to  in Leavenworth.

There, fixed it.

To be fair, we’ve had two presidents in recent times who couldn’t get a security clearance... Bill Clinton and Obama.

Why is no one asking the obvious question... Why did Hillary go to the trouble and cost of setting up her own server when she could use a secure government server for free? The answer is obvious if she had her own server she could hide her nefarious dealings from FOIA requests or subpoenas.

Yes a lot of us doing that work at State would have done a much better job.... You are correct, but the IT weasels are in the Staff Positions ki$$ing A$$, and are no longer competent in doing IT and probably not competent in their staff roles either.
