Someone from the progressive side of the spectrum please justify how there is no perceived conflict of interest with the facts that we know about this meeting: 1. The female who is running for the Democratic nomination is under FBI investigation; 2. The disbarred lawyer represents himself as the husband of the female running for the Democratic nomination. His security and schedule is meticulously controlled by the secret service yet he somehow happens to to have an adhoc meeting on the other side of the nation with the Attorney General, whom he appointed to a Federal position; 3. The Attorney General will have to rule on whether there is enough evidence from the FBI investigation to indict the female who is running for the Democratic nomination for President of the United States, Again, she happens to be married to the disbarred lawyer who recently met with the Attorney General. 4. Why would the Attorney General of the US take the time to meet with a disbarred lawyer anyway?

But I’d bet there’s a fairly wide gulf as to what should be done as a result. Those on the right say recusal, impeachment, potentially prosecution. those on the left say “innocent mistake, just slap the wrist and make them promise no to do it again.”
A real punishment is in order when a conflict of interest is this egregious and involves a case this serious.
Maybe President Trump can have indicted as a co-conspirator and an accessory after the fact. Obstruction of justice charges could reasonably apply to a lot of people in the current administration. I want to see him go hard-core and take out the trash.
