The presumptive GOP presidential nominee has 43 percent support among likely U.S. voters, and Clinton has 39 percent, according to the conservative-leaning Rasmussen.

Another 12 percent of respondents say they liked another candidate, and 5 percent are undecided.

In a similar poll last week, Clinton led Trump by 5 points, 44 percent to 39 percent.

This week's poll shows Trump's highest level of support against Clinton since last October.

The poll also finds that 75 percent of Republicans and 14 percent of Democrats support for Trump. The presumptive Democratic nominee has the support of 76 percent of Democrats and 10 percent of Republicans.

Someone correct me??? Wasn't Rasmussen constantly predicting that Romney would win too?

And he would have were it not for the "principled" repubs who opted not to turn out.

I believe that was Gallup, not Rasmussen.

Thank you. I thought I remembered correctly. Oh well, I take it all with a choking grain of salt.

There is a definite movement for Trump reflected here in other polls. I still say its tied. I believe this poll uses likely voters and not registered voters so that could be a plus. All the other propaganda polls for Hillary are using registered voters

“Indeed they were”

Nope. That’s not a prediction. It just shows that Romney was ahead at one point.

Romney stopped campaigning when that storm hit and basically handed over the election to Obama. Or as Trump says, he choked.

How can this be? Just yesterday we were told Clinton was going to thump him.

Means that the media will discover something in Trump’s past to plaster all over TV and newspapers. The moment someone becomes a threat, they trash him.

Romney only campaigns when it’s against conservatives.

I agree that Trump seems to be moving up in some of these polls, but anything that shows Hillary close to Trump is very suspect to me.

The woman has done nothing positive in her entire life.

Wasn't Rasmussen constantly predicting that Romney would win too?

I suppose he might have, if he didn't abandon his campaign 3 mo. before the election.

Everything is propaganda..everything

We do not have a news media in this country. All are propagandists. Pravda is more reliable and believable.

Romney was in the race against all republicans. He fought them like mad and using strategy and money.

Then he handed it to Obama. Wouldn’t fight him. Wouldn’t debate him. It was disgusting. Now he’s talking about doing it again. Going in against Trump to hand Hillary the white hose, as if he’d fight her

I voted for him. Why? We got the throes of Obama instead, showing us what a liberal government will do. Good

The gop fights for democrats. Forget them

Putting Hillary way ahead wasn’t working so now he’s putting Trump ahead and hopes that puts Trump behind

Not by this much and not this early. Trump got more votes than any other GOP candidate in recent history in a primary. Some Democrats and many Independents support him. The Drive By Media polls OVERSAMPLE Democrats and UNDERSAMPLE Republicans and Independents.
