Leading climate doomsayer Michael Mann recently downplayed the importance of climate change science, telling Democrats that data and models “increasingly are unnecessary” because the impact is obvious.
“Fundamentally, I’m a climate scientist and have spent much of my career with my head buried in climate-model output and observational climate data trying to tease out the signal of human-caused climate change,” Mr. Mann told the Democratic Platform Drafting Committee at a hearing.

I will prove it.. Notice how much warmer it is during the day when people are out and about and how much cooler it is at night when people are asleep!

What it means is a foregone conclusion, and he’s trying to find and elevate even one piece of evidence or twist something to mean something it does not.

Data is trumped by feelings. The world feels like it is getting warming - the feelings are settled.
Let’s just send him a ‘Weather Predicting Rock’. You know, one of those special rocks for sale in the tourist traps that say ‘if it’s wet, it’s raining...if it’s hot, the temperature is higher’ etc.......

Well, I think he has a point. I live in the Mid-Atlantic region. The average daytime temperature around here the last few weeks has been about 80 degrees. Just six months ago, the average daily temperature was 30 degrees. Also, the sun now sets a few hours later than it did just six months ago. We’re all doomed.

If Islam is a true religion that everyone should adopt, one would think that those who would raise their voices of objections the most vociferously to what the ‘extremists’ do would be the imams and those who are the ‘true believers’. Similarly, one would think that the loudest voices in objection to what Mann says and does should be other scientists…. If they don’t, one would think that their biggest fear should be that the credibility of their profession will be dragged down to the same level of mud where Mann’s is. This leads to many conclusions and questions….. they all agree with Mann’s position (we know this isn’t the case)? They are too concerned about the consequences? Virtually all scientists are on some sort of guvmint research grant and if they don’t tow the party line they have no funding? Sorry to say…. but if a ‘scientist’ says something today, it almost always can’t be believed because the issue of ‘agendas’ outflanks truth at seemingly every step of the way.

I understand why you’re calling Michael Mann’s pseudo-science a “religion,” but this is unfair. Religion is not pseudo-science, and encouraging society to lazily equate intelligent religious commitment with the irrational, serves neither truth nor science.
