The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill issued a guide this week which instructs students that Christmas vacations and telling a woman “I love your shoes!” are “microagressions.”
The taxpayer-funded guide — entitled “Career corner: Understanding microaggressions” — also identifies golf outings and the words “boyfriend” and “girlfriend” as microagressions.
The UNC Chapel Hill guide, published on Thursday, covers a wide range of menacing microaggressions — which are everyday words that radical leftists have decided to be angry or frustrated about.
Christmas vacations are a microagression, the public university pontificates, because “academic calendars and encouraged vacations” which “are organized around major religious observances” centralize “the Christian faith” and diminish “non-Christian spiritual rituals and observances.”

Shouldn’t the words “college” and “university” be microagressions? They cost tons of money most people cant afford, they are exclusionary since not everyone gets admitted, and people get “graded” like meat.

Hey, I spent a lot of money on these shoes. Not complimenting them is a microagression. (/sarc)
If I were President, I would make it illegal for any foreign country to make donations to any public or private college or University. Yale, Columbia and Harvard have received billions of dollars to fund buildings and academia positions and teachings for “Muslim education” of students.
Fine, then all academia and leaders of the institution will be required to work on Christmas day. It is a Federal holiday but since you find it aggressive, you should work on that day.
This is becoming to easy.
I’m not going to recommend a single one of these idiots.
Employment for normal people expand.
A simple micro-aggression test will do it.
How about “go to hell fascists!” is that a micro aggression?
“The taxpayer-funded guide has macroaggressed me.”
As a North Carolina resident and taxpayer I feel much more than microaggressed. Outrage is what I feel.
Unfortunately my Republican state representative feels microaggressed when challenged by her constituents on these types of issues and will not respond to letters or telephone calls. Like my GOP representative in Congress she will no longer conduct town hall meetings where a citizen might embarrass her.
The GOP in this state is a pay to play organization. If a constituent wants a voice, he/she needs to open the wallet and take out some big bills. As long as there are enough sheeple who will vote for the R or D label, no matter who is wearing it, votes will be meaningless. Only money talks.
“Similarly, the public school pronounces, interrupting any woman who is speaking is a microagression.”
I wouldn’t have to if they would just shut up for a minute.
Larry, if you stop a woman mid-stream about her stupid colleagues in her environment, you will die.
Of course you can use the same excuse after hours.
I do believe that much of the impetus for this comes from Obama’s Education and DoJ Civil Rights Departments via that ugly monster of Title IX. In the innocence of its birth (1972), Title IX was seen as leveling the education sector for gender in addition to the standards already in place by the 1964 Civil Rights Act.
However in the almost half-century of its implementation, it has morphed into a regulatory environment used by the education activists to enforce their views upon willing schools to move the needle to the left. In particular, the Obama Administration, within the past year, issued a ‘letter’, advising all schools receiving Federal Funds, that failure to adhere to all the subtleties of Title IX would endanger such funding.
Micro-aggressions is a coined word for just such subtleties, i.e. behaviors that only the ‘victim’ feels when committed, perception as opposed to de facto action. Handbooks such as these seek to expand the set of offending behavior by compiling one person’s subjective offense upon another’s. WOWSERS, what a tower of ‘righteous’ indignation.
Subtle as swinging a baseball bat!
Every word in the English language is a micro-agression as the English language is the language of world domination.
Maybe English should be banned and Arabic required (except for Spanish speaking). :)
The world has gone crazy........golf????
denial of freedom of speech by force or threats is genuine aggression
“In order to counter the multitude of microagressions listed in their document, Dey and Prince advise students to respond by interrupting and aggressively asking, What did you mean by that?
What it means you stupid twit is that if you can’t understand the English language, the conversation is over.
This micro aggression stuff is crap in any manner.
To be fair, however, the article clearly says NOT University policy.
Career corner: Understanding microaggressions

Editors note: This blog post does not represent University policy. The piece was compiled from research and published scholarly works in response to Forum members interest in the topic of microaggressions.
GOPack!
:)
In declaring so called micro-aggressions, are not UNC Pooh-Bahs committing far greater MACRO-aggression? Perhaps the Deacons of Wake Forest should restore civility to Chapel Hill before it’s renamed mosque hill.
