This State Just Became FIRST To Put ALL Gun Owners In FBI Database

Hawaii’s governor signed a bill making it the first U.S. state to place its residents who own firearms in a federal criminal record database and monitor them for possible wrongdoing anywhere in the country, his office said.

The move by gun control proponents in the liberal state represents an effort to institute some limits on firearms in the face of a bitter national debate over guns that this week saw Democratic lawmakers stage a sit-in at the U.S. House of Representatives.

Hawaii Governor David Ige, a Democrat, on Thursday signed into law a bill to have police in the state enroll people into an FBI criminal monitoring service after they register their firearms as already required, his office said in a statement

The Federal Bureau of Investigation database called “Rap Back” will allow Hawaii police to be notified when a firearm owner from the state is arrested anywhere in the United States.

Hawaii has become the first U.S. state to place firearm owners on the FBI’s Rap Back, which until now was used to monitor criminal activities by individuals under investigation or people in positions of trust such as school teachers and daycare workers.

“As you can imagine, the NRA finds this one of the most extreme bills we’ve ever seen,” said Amy Hunter, a spokeswoman for the National Rifle Association’s institute for legislative action.

The law could affect gun owners outside Hawaii, because the state requires visitors carrying guns to register, Hunter said.

As a result, they could be added to “Rap Back” with no clear protocol for being removed, she said.

Hawaii state Senator Will Espero, a Democrat and a co-author of the law who owns a gun, called the law “common sense legislation that does not hurt anyone.”

The law, which takes effect immediately, allows police in Hawaii to evaluate whether a firearm owner should continue to possess a gun after being arrested.

“This bill, it doesn’t even say your gun will automatically be taken away, it just means local police will be notified,” Espero said in a phone interview.

Ige’s office said he also signed into law two other firearms bills. One makes convictions for stalking and sexual assault among the criminal offenses disqualifying a person from gun ownership. The other requires firearm owners to surrender their weapons if diagnosed with a mental, behavioral or emotional disorder.

In 2014 the current governor defeated Neil “Yellowfangs” Abercrombie who had an “F” rating from the NRA and who probably started this movement to the FBI database.

they are conducting a virtual lottery , to see who gets the State’s authorization to be licensed medical marijuana ‘dispensary ‘ growers . For all the 10’s of 1000’s of Hawaii potheads , who hold medical marijuana permits , issued for virtually ANY malady or complaint . Yet not one iota of effort is being made to discover if any of these ‘ licensed ‘ marijuana smokers are also registered firearms owners . Ignoring the Federal stipulation that ‘ no person who is a user of or addicted to marijuana shall own or possess a firearm ( BATF yellow form ) . Governor Ige completely ignores this existing law and fails to order that his Hawaii Criminal Data Center link with the medical marijuana permit holders data base , maintained by the Hawaii State Dept. of Health , and report the finding to the Federal Rap Back program , as these individuals are in clear violation of Federal law . With the State of Hawaii’s blessing . Yet Governor Ige is happy to report ALL legal and registered ( non-pot smoking ) firearms owners , to be contained in a Federal criminal data base and watch list . Can any one say Hypocrite 1st Class ?

In WWII the Jews believed this type of nonsense also.

You know how many Hawaians had mysterious boating accidents today and lost all their firearms?

All school teachers and day-care workers are monitored as if they were criminals? A whole lot of Big Brother going on.

Honestly, I agree with you. I do not think teachers and shrinks should be informants. On the other hand, I do think sometimes they might be neglectful if they don’t speak up, Imagine a shrink dealing with a nutcase each week, and while in her care, he discovers Islam and goes deeeeeeep, and she finds out along the way that he is agreeing more and more with jihad, and has started collecting weapons. Also, imagine a teacher of a little girl who has had many bruises and even a few broken bones this year, all from “falling off my bike” - the girl is timid and clearly afraid of her parent.

So I am a bit torn. I don’t want a terror attack happening when the shrink could smell it coming, or one day to hear that girl was killed by her dad.

The Nazi weasel, Hawaii Governor David Ige, needs to be informed that he will be arrested for sedition, stand trial and face death by hanging.

Just a small additional step to place them on the terror watch list and you’ve got utopian gun control.

Shrinks are already compelled to warn authorities when a patient expresses an intent (I believe imminent) to kill a human. However, where is the line drawn on what is to be deemed dangerous? Each shrink has their own opinion on that. So the shrink has a bad day, and on the list goes a patient with opposing political views, or who owns a gun, or is anti-homo, etc. We see this in the IRS targeting conservatives, and it STILL is not corrected.

CPS is another example of too much power in the hands of individuals. They can ruin your life, or in the least cost tens of thousands of dollars to fight any wrongdoing by the CPS person. As a government agency, immunity kicks in and lawsuits are unlikely as well. Far too many libidiots currently in these positions. There needs to be an inexpensive and expeditious way to fight any injustices in so many of these types of processes.
