Stripped of its excesses, Donald Trump's Wednesday speech contains all the ingredients of a campaign that can defeat Hillary Clinton this fall.
Indeed, after the speech ended Clinton was suddenly defending the Clinton Foundation against the charge that it is a front for a racket for her family's enrichment.
The specific charges in Trump's indictment of Clinton: She is mendacious, corrupt, incompetent and a hypocrite.
"Hillary Clinton ... is a world-class liar," said Trump. She faked a story about being under fire at a Bosnia airport, the kind of claim for which TV anchors get fired. She has lied repeatedly about her email server.
She lied to the families of victims of the Benghazi massacre by implying the atrocity was a spontaneous reaction to an anti-Islamic video, not the premeditated act of Islamist terror she knew it to be.
Drop "world-class" and Trump's case is open and shut.
His second charge: "Hillary has perfected the politics of personal profit and theft" and "may be the most corrupt person ever to seek the presidency."

The speech is a masterwork.
The formula is get rid of the PC nonsense, tell the truth about America’s enemies in office, and keep hammering them. Try not to look or act like a jerk and he’ll be unstoppable.
All he has to do is be himself, and show a little class. Not a lot, just a little. I think he’s found his style.
The excesses are all Hillary's - Trump merely listed some of them.

Trump has an easy target - the worst candidate in history and the second least qualified candidate in history (she lost to the least qualified candidate back in 2008). Hillary is as dishonest as Bill Clinton, but she doesn’t have the charm that many liberals saw in her husband.

And Trump did not even mention Hillary’s worse crime by far. One that affected everyone on the planet. Tepco just admitted this week that they lied and covered up the meltdowns of three nuclear reactors. They now admit they knew all along that this was a worse case scenario. And Hillary knew and was obviously involved with the cover-up. One that will eventually give cancer to many people. That cover-up was purely done for economic reasons. Forget warning people and helping them to avoid the radioactive particles. My guess is that Trump will not crack open that coconut cause that conspiracy to cover-up the meltdowns was far too vast and wide. Wow, 5 years later Tepco finally admits a cover-up. They knew. Hillary knew. And her emails from that time period were erased.
It was his best speech so far
I think we can begin referring to Trump as either, the next president, or the presumptive next president.

I do not think it rates as Hillary’s worst crime.
She did not take an oath to protect and defend the people of Japan.

Well, I tend to agree with you except for the “morally” part. The Clintons (Bill, Hillary, Chelsea and their minions) are void of morals.
Two of the melted down reactors were built by the US. There were US operational crews there making sure our reactors operated properly. They were our responsibility because when built, the Japanese had no expertise or ability to build nuclear reactors. They built and took over Fukushima 3, 4, 5 and 6. We do have some of Hillary’s first emails when the accident began. There were warning all staff in Japan to take extreme precautions. We have thousands of military personal stationed in Japan. Even have some emails about possible affects to the US mainland. Then nothing. When they learned it was a worse case scenario, the cover-up began and no more emails concerning Fukushima. There literally must be hundreds that have been deleted.
