Full title:
How Brexit Will Affect Americans: Cheaper travel to the UK and Europe, lower mortgage rates - but a very bumpy stock market ride

• Americans can expect an extremely bumpy stock market ride
• They can also look forward to cheaper travel to Europe and Britain
• Experts are concerned that counterterrorism efforts in Europe will [wane]

The first noticeable difference the vote made was to plunge the British pound to a 30-year low. Currently, it will only cost $1.34 to get one pound. And the U.S. dollar could continue to strengthen.

That's good news for Americans looking to travel to the UK this summer - or even beyond...

But if Europe is your destination of choice after visiting the UK, airfares could get pricey. Country hopping in Europe has always been fairly cheap thanks to discount airlines like RyanAir and EasyJet. However. with the UK now separate from Europe, new air service agreements would need to be put in place, which could ultimately mean that airfares will climb, according to The Telegraph.

If the British pound falls compared to the dollar, there’s a couple of UK made items I’ve been wanting for years.

#1 is a unissued SAS Para smock in ventile cotton.

I don’t understand why it is the Pound that is falling. This vote signals the beginning of the end for the EU. I would think that the Euro would be crashing and the Pound soaring. What am I missing?

Yes, modern civilization started with the beginning of the EU.

Horsecrap economics. Where there is demand, there will be supply. Ryanair is just one low cost UK carrier which serves destinations all over the mainland just as U.S. carriers such as Spirit and Sun serve destinations all over the Caribbean. The only difference is that they go to gates where their is a customs and immigration line at the arrival terminal.

Anyone who has been to Cancun (just to name one example) can tell you just how little of a speed bump there is in the process.

Not good for GE, P&G, other stuff...here in Cincy you are required by law to hold PG stock and never sell it. I won’t sell mine.

I literally had a German tell me this morning that rejecting the globalist outlook will result in returning to the middle ages! My British friend was dancing a jig, had been up all night watching the returns come in. Because she says when she goes home its like she’s going to a foreign country.

How important are the economics?

Would you rather be a hungry free man or a well fed slave?

At this point, Britain is all alone in pulling out, so the markets are making a short-term bet against the Pound. Once a couple more key countries exit, the markets will correct and the Euro will be falling as it is against the dollar and yen.

Interestingly, the yen is also rising against the dollar because the markets are betting that the United States will become and even more attractive export marked versus a diminished EU leading to more dollar selling to buy yen.

I heard someone from a 3rd world country say the other day, we have made the intentional choice to eschew material success in order to maintain our freedom. That made a lot of sense to me.

Of course, in the 3rd world you’ve got to pay off everybody to get anything done, or even keep your business open. It has its own problem set.

Americans are feeling a little bit better today. Slithering globalists like Soros and the CFR hoping to impose their New Fascist Order, not so much.

Yep, and it felt comforting to hear President Trump address this on the International stage.

"Would you rather be a hungry free man or a well fed slave?"

Being "I can skin a buck and run a trout line" I choose to be a well fed free man. (mainly because my "FReeper boating accident" was in fairly shallow waters)

When I was a kid [well that’s some 80 years ago] the pound would cost $5. The story would be how much England has declined with some combination of war and inflation.

Expect quick market rebounds, very good long term economic benefits. Just lessening the bureaucratic meddling in business decisions will be an enormous boost for British influenced markets.

God Bless the 52%. May others follow their wise & patriotic path.

At least a partial return to sanity is surely welcome.
