Friends and family are defending the trio stopped at the Holland Tunnel as they said they headed to rescue a teen girl whose friend died of a heroin overdose.
Being arraigned in court Wednesday in Jersey City, N.J., were John F. Cramsey, 50, owner of Higher Ground Tactical, an indoor shooting range and gun dealership in Upper Milford Township; Dean S. Smith, 53, of Upper Milford Township; and Kimberly Arendt, 29, of Lehighton, Pa.
The trio were on a mission to help a 16-year-old girl they believed was in trouble after a friend overdosed in New York City, according to Cramsey.

Even most rednecks are not this gullible. I wonder about a set-up, that might have been years in the making.
It was a long drive.
Left handed luckies? What means that? {{scratches head}}

Thanks. I kinda thought that might be the meaning behind the euphemism but hadn’t heard it before.
How does a 16 year old, who is a minor say she’s ok and doesnt need the help of her parent?
Question for my illumination...
I thought by federal law you could drive through anywhere with properly secured firearms, as long as you weren’t stopping. Is this not true?
What does a ‘friend’ of a girl od’ing have to do with the girl being in trouble? seems western unioning enough for a bus ticket home would have been a better move.

That’s the theory. However there are two problems in this situation. First both NJ and NY have shown very little respect for that law. You might get away with a hunting rifle, unloaded and in the trunk of your car, but these were loaded weapons in plain sight. The second problem is they told the cops they were stopping somewhere. The law doesn’t really cover vigilantes on a mission from God.
