Clinton IT specialist invokes 5th more than 125 times in deposition | Fox News Catherine Herridge,

Hillary Clinton IT specialist Bryan Pagliano invoked the Fifth more than 125 times during a 90-minute, closed-door deposition Wednesday with the conservative watchdog Judicial Watch, a source with the group told Fox News.

The official said Pagliano was working off an index card and read the same crafted statement each time.

“It was a sad day for government transparency,” the Judicial Watch official said, adding they asked all their questions and Pagliano invoked the Fifth Amendment right not to answer them.

Pagliano was a central figure in the set-up and management of Clinton’s personal server she used exclusively for government business while secretary of state. The State Department inspector general found Clinton violated government rules with that arrangement.

Good, makes it a little more likely Hillary will have to testify

This asshat was granted full immunity and still invokes the 5th which is his right. But why would he do it? I think he’s afraid he may get fitted for a new pair of concrete shoes from the Clinton mail order catalog.

Well, once you start, you can’t pick and choose questions to answer.

I don’t understand it.
Immunity means IMMUNITY.
That means he’s got no 5th Amendment recourse if he accepts the immunity deal, right?

I would do the same thing. Martha Stewart and Scooter Libby thought that they had nothing to hide.

....Imagine the number without immunity....

He has no immunity in this Judicial Watch case. It is a civil lawsuit.
He has limited “use” immunity in the Federal investigation.
That is only immunity dealing with liability on his own testimony in the Federal case. He still could face charges based on outside testimony and evidence in the Federal case.

My understanding is that he received immunity for an upcoming criminal case. This is a deposition for a civil case in which he does not have immunity.

His immunity deal shields him from proceedings like this one, where hildabeast could be implicated. His deal with the FBI is only about protecting him from questioning “while the investigation is ongoing”. It is all about the FBI protecting hildabeast. The FBI is totally corrupt until proven otherwise.

I thought it was reported by the judge that he has some form of limited immunity?

IIRC, he was granted limited immunity. What the limitations of that immunity are, I have no idea.

It was a deposition with Judicial Watch, not a deposition with the FBI or other law enforcement. He has immunity from criminal prosecution, but not for other legal problems.

I believe immunity was from the Feds for the Feds case against Hillary, not for Judicial Watch.

125 times in 90 minutes. In other words, he read his 5th amendment script every 43 seconds. It took how long each time? 5-10 seconds. That means very likely he answered nothing, not a single thing. His immunity should be yanked as it likely calls for cooperation, even if not to Judicial Watch.

Although I'm not a lawyer that's *not* my understanding.Without the threat of prosecution there's no *need* for to protect yourself from incrimination.Of course it's also my understanding that immunity deals always contain an exception for perjury. So taking the 5th when a deal is in place means that the witness is afraid of something. And when opposing the Clintons a rational person has *much* to be afraid of.
