Last visit, her hotel was, oh about 150 yards or so from the place we were eating....in a bad part of town. She sezz, no need for you to walk me to my room. I told her...uh, yes. This is not a great area. She was oblivious to her surroundings. Had no idea a woman walking this distance at night would have made her a target.

Our local department seems to generally follow the protect and serve model. The couple interactions I’ve had with them have been brief and professional.

I live in a rather rural part of North Georgia. From time to time I hear a fully automatic gun of some sort being fired by one of my neighbors. It puts a smile on my face every time I hear it.

There's a couple of PCP's I'd like to buy that are on the low end of the cost spectrum but they're still over $1,000. That's just the rifle, then there's the scope and mounts, the fill tanks and their respective hardware. Probably close to $2,000 when you're done.
